The manager and staf are exceptionally friendly and helpful. They tried within their ability to make life very comfortable. They even provided transportation at no cost to transport my group of 9 from the hotel to Royale Livingstone Lodge and back to the hotel. However, New Fairmount will benefit from little investment i.e. there was No functional DSTV, no connecting Internet, too many mosquitoes. Old and worn out towels. These feedback were provided to the manager and she recived it happily with promise to address. We saw sogns of marginal improvement before we left and hope to see these addressed in the long term. Ram at the hotel entrance to the reception will enhance accessible to be inclusive.

It was a nice room and a great staff. The biggest drawback was a nearby pub that kept music going until 2 AM. Wifi was weak and intermittent during my stay, but they seemed responsive to my pleas for repair.

A comfortable stay in a hotel that offers very good value for the location. All staff were excellent. We were upgraded to a family suite which was very convenient. Would certainly recommend to families visiting the Falls, and on a budget.

We love the staff at New Fairmount like family. Allen always takes time to make me feel welcome and ask about my family. Esther always does a wonderful job with laundry. The lady who cleaned my room always kept it looking nice. Multiple dinners in the restaurant were very good.

Outstanding Stay at Fairmount Hotel – Truly Felt Like Home! I had an exceptional experience staying at the Fairmount Hotel in Zambia. From the moment we arrived, the service was top-notch. The staff were incredibly courteous, warm, and professional—special thanks to Esta and Allen who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, along with the rest of the amazing team. Our room was very clean and well-maintained, and to our surprise and delight, we were even upgraded at no extra cost. The hotel arranged smooth pick-up and drop-off service to and from the airport, which was a huge convenience. Even though our flight was at 6 PM, we were generously offered a complimentary late check-out and a complimentary lunch—something you don’t find everywhere. The food was consistently delicious, and the location is perfect—safe and within walking distance to great restaurants, museums, local craft markets, and only about 10 minutes from the airport and the breathtaking Victoria Falls. To top it all off, the hotel has a vibrant nightclub with VIP access and a complimentary first drink, which made our nights fun and memorable. I highly recommend the Fairmount Hotel to anyone visiting Livigstone, Zambia. I’ll definitely be staying here again on my next trip. Thanks again to the entire team for making us feel right at home! This hotel has world-class service. All the staff, from the front desk, to maintenance and housekeeping, work to ensure you have the best experience. There's a fantastic breakfast buffet, with every sort of food. The hotel is in town, so you can walk to everything. If you want to plan a tour there are reps to assist near the lobby. I would definately stay here again.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Fairmont. The hotel has world-class service. The staff are all so friendly and accomodating. Everyone from the front desk to maintenance and housekeeping are there to make sure you have the best visit. The breakfast buffet is amazing... just about every type of food is there, eggs and bacon, beans, tomoatoes for a full english. If you want to plan activities there is a tour company right next to the lobby. The best thing was being in town. You can walk to everything, or get a taxi right outside.

The staff at the Hotel were wonderful. The greeted me with a smile and quickly checked me in and assisted me. The property is clean a little outdated but its a older property. The breakfast was complimentary and good. The bar/restaurant was good as well. The property is abiut 15 min from Victoria falls and other places to do excursions. I would definitely recommend the property to friends its safe and great locstion.

I travel for work and spend over 150 nights a year in hotels. I've been a Diamond Elite member with both Hilton Honors and Holiday Inn IHG every year since 2019. When I travel for vacations, I also always try to book Hiltons and Holiday Inns to be treated like a Diamond member. So when I saw there were no Hilton's or Holiday Inn's in Livingstone/Victoria Falls, I was a little worried about booking this hotel through Expedia. However, the level of service I received at New Fairmount Hotel and Casino in Livingstone, Zambia exceeded all Diamond Elite treatment I receive from Hilton Honors and Holiday Inn IHG. I was so warmly greeted at the front desk by Mwiche, Allan, and Dwayne. They upgraded our room to a family suite. They provided great tips about where to go shopping. When internet wasn't strong in the room, they brought us a router to the room. They offered us a wonderful dining experience at their onsite restaurant for dinner. At dinner, they introduced us to Chef Rehman, who moved to Zambia from India 20 years ago and specializes in Indian cuisine. We thoroughly enjoyed the warm tandoori naans and dishes Chef Rehman recommended. The rooms were very spacious and beds comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of nearby local market. And is a short drive from the Falls. The hotel's wonderful front desk team of Mwiche, Allan, and Dwayne can also connect you with their driver Gregory, who can take you around Zambia.

The property is classic and being welcomed by Allan was a great experience and his hospitality alongside Butemwe was very gracious! The front desk staff “Mwichee” and others were very helpful during my stay and the driver to and from the airport was helpful too! Overall great stay and friendly staff all around!

Allan reached out before our arrival to ensure that the shuttle would be at the airport when we arrived- this was greatly appreciated after a long journey. When we arrived, the backup generator hadn’t started working, so there was minimal electricity (so no air conditioning) but that didn’t last long, the generator kicked in, and we had air conditioning the rest of our stay. We utilized the laundry service and even with the electricity challenges, Esther was able to do a great job with our laundry for a reasonable fee. We ordered food to be delivered to our room and this took quite some time, but it was very good. We ate at the restaurant and there was a wide variety of foods on the menu. The breakfast is included and was very good each morning.
