The hotel itself is visually very appealing. The room was beautiful, well-designed, and comfortable, and the overall property gives the impression of a modern, high-quality hotel in a great location.
Unfortunately, the experience with the front office staff was shockingly poor and completely undermined the stay. During check-in, a family ahead of us was being assisted by a receptionist who handled their passports in an openly disrespectful manner - once he finished entering the details, he would literally throw the passports back across the desk to the guests. This level of unprofessionalism is something I have never witnessed in a hotel environment before.
At the same time, another receptionist was standing behind the desk counting cash while six guests were waiting in line. When asked for assistance, she stated that she would not help anyone because “her shift only starts in 15 minutes and she is not being paid yet.” This was said openly, in front of waiting guests, without any attempt to find a solution or ask a colleague to step in.
For a hotel that presents itself as a premium brand, this type of front-office behavior is simply unacceptable. Hospitality starts at the reception desk, and in this case, the lack of basic courtesy, professionalism, and guest awareness was genuinely disturbing.
