Cyclists can enjoy the many cycle routes in the area, including some of the best routes in the UK, along with a pump track in Rhayader. Rhayader town has an array of cafés and shops to browse around, and there is also the visitor centre at Elan Valley, which serves food and drink as well as offering plenty of information about the area.

The spa town of Llandrindod Wells is 10 miles from the property, whilst the market town of Builth Wells is a little further on. The latter is home to the Royal Welsh Showground which hosts many different shows and events throughout the year. Shop 1 mile, restaurant and pub 5 miles.
