Fabulous walking can be done in the Radnor Forest and just ten miles away are the fantastic Elan Valley reservoirs and impressive Victorian dams. Take a trip to Rhayader, a bustling Welsh market town with a selection of tea rooms, pubs, restaurants, amenities and unique little boutiques, including local antiques, as well as the added bonus of a leisure centre with a large swimming pool and a weekly livestock market. You can also visit Builth Wells, where the Spring Festival, Royal Welsh Agricultural Show and Winter Fair are all held annually.
