We recently stayed at this Vrbo rental and had a very mixed experience. To start with the positives—the house itself is super cute, very clean, and offers a great view of the lake. It’s clear that some thought went into the presentation, and the setting is definitely a highlight.Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended for us. The hot tub was not properly maintained and had extremely high chlorine levels. After using it, I experienced severe skin irritation and what appeared to be a chlorine burn on my chest. We purchased test strips to confirm, and the readings showed chlorine levels that were far beyond safe limits. I notified the owner and even shared photos, but she dismissed the concern, suggesting I must have sensitive skin and stating that the hot tub is professionally serviced. I continued testing the water daily for five days, and the levels remained unsafe throughout our stay.There were also several maintenance and amenity issues. A corner cupboard door was not attached and fell off immediately upon arrival. The listing advertised a hairdryer, but none was provided. When I contacted the owner, I didn’t receive a response for two days. By that point, I had already purchased one myself, yet she still showed up later to drop one off after the fact.The beds were extremely uncomfortable—one was rock hard, while the other was so soft and uneven that two people couldn’t sleep without rolling into the center. It made getting a good night’s rest nearly impossible.
