We rented this cabin to celebrate my 40th birthday because we wanted a place that felt like home, and the pictures online looked amazing — but honestly, the photos didn’t even do it justice. When we arrived, we were blown away by how beautiful and welcoming the space was. The basement area was a huge hit and made the perfect hangout spot for my tweens.
We did have a little trouble getting the fireplace started, which is definitely something you’ll want during a winter stay. However, AvantStay’s property management team was incredible. Their communication from the moment I booked through the end of our stay was superb. Once we reached out about the fireplace, they sent a technician and had it fixed within about three hours — we really appreciated how quickly they handled it.
Another thing I loved was how well the house was stocked with useful supplies for cooking and everyday needs — things like foil, ziplock bags, laundry detergent, and more. It made the stay feel comfortable and stress-free. The pet fee was slightly different from what was listed on Expedia, but the difference was minimal (under $20), so it wasn’t a big issue.
The only downside was that we weren’t able to enjoy the grill or the fire pit area because they were covered in snow — but that’s just part of traveling in the winter.
At the end of every trip, I always ask my family, “Would you stay here again?” and the answer was a big YES. properties managed by AvantStay in the future.
