Paid for a hotel that was overbooked

Book the reservation online saying there was five rooms upon arrival. They told me that there were no rooms available that I would have to book somewhere else which was fine. Attempted to contact Hotels.com on a refund, but told me, unfortunately there was nothing to do and they could not refund me the money for the hotel that I did not stand

Underwhelmed for the price

For the cost of the room, the amenities were slim. I tried multiple times to call the front desk during the mid evening and was never able to reach someone. The front desk was helpful at check-in.
