Nice hotel!

Good clean hotel in a good location. There was no vending machine available when we checked after 10pm so had to drive to a nearby store for a bottle of water. The AC was a centealized and had a old school crank kind.

I booked a non- smoking room based on Expedia reviews that this place was “good”. We were visiting Cal Lutheran. It was so bad and toxic we ended up leaving and staying at Fairview Inn / Moorpark which was excellent This motel 6 has a former drug den vibe/ odor. Our “non-smoking” “remodeled room”reeked of smoke. Or something toxic. Even the bedding. Within 10 minutes my eyes and skin were burning. My daughter’s eyes were burning. Here’s the thing, can you really remodel a motel that was, like, a meth mobile? I will confidently answer that: NO. I had trouble breathing. They also allow cats and dogs in their rooms and there are people living at this motel. We left and found Fairview/ Moorpark. Motel six did not refund our money back. The motel owners said that because I had already checked in. Expedia was like, “shrug, sorry”. Not only will I never stay at a place labeled as “good” on Expedia, I will never use Expedia again when I can get the same deal directly through the hotels. Crap place. The front desk dudes were nice though. My message to those guys: get out now. If you work there? Run. If you own this place? Demolish it and start fresh. It’s a money pity. Toxins are leaking out of the walls here.

Electricity in the room was incomplete and spotty. Card access constantly going out and having to be rekeyed. Staff was great. Laundry facilities good. If you can’t pay a fortune inLA, this will do well. Not luxury, but we were helping family in hospital so we needed cheap.

Usually I don’t have problems here. But this time. We got assigned to a room that was not a room.? It must have been getting redid. But it was like a storage room Basically. But we did get it resolved and put I to another room. Usually the room has extra toilet paper or at least refilled. This room we were given after the storage room, had crumbs under the bed, no refilled toilet paper or extra in their, the bathroom Wall was a bit dirty with some yellow & red stuff. But other than that the room was comfortable and worked out for us for the night.

I didn't like the mattress, something was sticking me when I was sitting on the bed! And they had to change my room I was in room 109 first and then they had changed it to 211.

The hotel was okay but most likely will not stay there again. Front desk said that the room they gave us was renovated but it does not look like it. You can hear the neighbors from the sides and upstairs. Great customer service.
