⭐️☆☆☆☆ (1/5) I recently stayed at the Moxy Downtown LA, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience from start to finish. Here are the main issues I encountered: - **Hidden Fees**: Upon check-in, I was surprised by various hidden fees that weren't clearly communicated during the booking process. It felt like I was being nickeled and dimed throughout my stay. - **Parking Charges**: The parking fees were outrageous! I expected a reasonable rate, but the charges were excessive and not worth it for the level of service provided. - **Noise Issues**: My room was situated poolside, and the noise from the DJ and partygoers was unbearable. The music thumped loudly until 2 AM, making it impossible to get any sleep. If you're looking for a quiet getaway, this is definitely not the place for you. - **Target Audience**: The hotel seems to cater to a younger crowd (18-25), which may be great for some, but it was not what I was looking for during my stay. The party atmosphere took away from any chance of relaxation. Overall, I had a horrible stay at Moxy Downtown LA. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for a peaceful and restful experience. Save your money and find a quieter hotel.

Staff was great everything was clean and up to standard. The hotel bathrooms were pretty inconvenient unless you don’t mind getting dressed in front of everyone else in the room because it’s no privacy. Can’t take a poop in the bathroom without everyone in the room hearing you since it’s pretty open. This is a great hotel if you come for the night life and views because it doesn’t disappoint in that area. THIS IS A NIGHT LIFE CENTERED HOTEL.

I’m not usually one to complain… I never do a review, but wanted others to be aware. Watch your booking closely. I paid for a corner room which was about $100 more per night. The hotel checked me in before I got to the hotel and assigned me a different room. When I got to the room and realized I didn’t have the view that I was expecting, I went back down to the front desk. I was originally told since they pre-checked me and they couldn’t do anything about it. When I asked them to adjust the room, rate they all of a sudden were able to get me in a corner room, like I had paid for. I prepaid valet on my reservation. The hotel also charged me. It took 45 minutes chatting back back-and-forth with hotels.com to get this corrected. I got breakfast in their coffee shop, in the lobby. It cost $34 for two breakfast sandwiches and a coffee. The surprise was the additional $6 they charged to my room because when I paid at the coffee shop, they asked me if I wanted them to bill it to my room. Never did I expect an addition charge because they billed my room. As a whole, it probably isn’t a property for me. For over $900 for two nights, I wouldn’t expect to have to watch my credit card for unexpected charges.

The hotel does not have accommodation conditions. It is a place for a day trip. The service is terrible. They charge you money without any explanation, and especially in the car parking area. For me, it was a terrible experience.
