Good with caveats

Pros: Great location for Universal! The restaurant in house also has great service and really tasty food after a busy day in the park. My kid also loved the pool and the room had nice views. The queen sized bed was actually a queen and quite comfortable. Cons: peeling wallpaper, fixtures hanging off the walls, and the hide a “bed” was in no way comfortable. Luckily our kid is young and his body could handle it, but it was utterly terrible.

We stayed here for 4 nights while in LA. We chose the location primarily for Universal studios and it was right next to it and a 5 mins walk (or they offer a shuttle from the hotel). The hotel also has access easy access to the 101 highway, to be able to access LA and sight seeing locations. The hotel was great, nicely styled and the staff were friendly and attentive. The room was perfect for our needs for a short stay. Some things to consider - the pool was not heated and so quite cold, it was however spring so I anticipate that is gets warmer in the summer. Also the parking when I booked has indicated $30 dollars a night, however upon arrival it was stated as $45 dollars plus tax. These points notwithstanding I would recommend staying here especially if you are intending to visit universal studies.
