The Octopus Inn sits on a quiet block at the north end of Manhattan Beach — the kind of breezy, sand-between-your-toes pocket of the South Bay that locals would just as soon keep to themselves. It's an easy, unpretentious place: two bedrooms, each with a king bed, two full baths, and a sun-washed living room built around a comfortable leather sofa and a TV for slow mornings and post-beach wind-downs.

The kitchen is fully stocked for however you like to eat in, with a gas range for a proper stay-in dinner and a breakfast bar with stools for coffee and conversation while someone finishes plating. When it's time to sit down together, a dedicated dining nook gives everyone a spot at the table. Two portable A/C units keep things cool on the warmer afternoons, once the marine layer has burned off.

The real draw is what's just outside the door. A couple of the neighborhood's beloved walk streets are a block away — narrow, car-free lanes with surfboards leaning against fences and bougainvillea spilling over hedges — and they lead straight down to The Strand and the sand. From there it's a flat, breezy stroll south along the path to the Manhattan Beach Pier, where the free Roundhouse Aquarium waits at the far end, and the sunsets rank among the best in Southern California. Just down the street, Bruce's Beach and its grassy hillside make an easy spot for a picnic or a golden-hour hang.

Up the hill, downtown Manhattan Beach hums with the restaurants, coffee shops, surf stores, and boutiques that make this stretch of coast feel less like a beach town and more like a neighborhood you'd happily move into.

- Pets are not allowed in this home. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval, there is a fine of $500 per pet.
- Nearby construction and street improvement work around Bruce’s Beach, Manhattan Avenue, and surrounding streets may cause intermittent daytime noise during your stay.
- Each bedroom also has a sound/noise machine with multiple sleep sounds.

Parking Details:
- One medium-sized vehicle can be accommodated in the garage.
- Please note that cars must be parked inside the garage at all times.
- Vehicles are not permitted to be left in the driveway. Street parking in this neighborhood is extremely limited and can be difficult to find, so we recommend planning ahead if you're traveling with more than one car.
- For larger groups or additional vehicles, rideshare or public parking lots near downtown Manhattan Beach are good options to consider.
- Please check all posted overnight parking signs and local neighborhood rules, as parking restrictions are strictly enforced.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.
