Pro tip: Get the Altitude Swim Out suite, best room on the property. The food options are great, skip the buffet and dine at The Grill and Risotto instead. Those two are the best tasting restaurants among all. Overall, our 4 night stay was a pleasant experience, and I want to sincerely thank Gabriel from the hotel concierge for reaching out to us and making sure we are having a great time. He absolutely went over and beyond to ensure our comfort and experience is his top priority, our trip wouldn’t have been the same without his arrangements so thank you so very much.

I’ve been to several resorts but none like this one. The staff truly wowed me. They went above and beyond to make my stay unforgettable. As soon as you arrive, they’re attentive. Check-in was a breeze. The facility is well kept. There are more than plenty options to swim at and restaurants to eat. Again, anywhere you go, the staff are more than willing to make your stay the best they can. Marisela and Diana at the Japanese restaurant made our dinner time enjoyable. Cesar at The Grill combined the perfect drinks with the outstanding food. Everyone at the O buffet went above and beyond to getting us a table inside at every visit. Gabriel from the concierge checked in on us before our visit and helped us set up our massage. He made it happen within minutes and before we knew it we were off to relax. The guys at the Surfos Snack Bar are incredible. Angel would come around often and refill our drinks & even suggested a drink to help ease a stomach pain. It’s really easy to arrive, about 25 minutes from the airport. The restaurants are on a first come first serve basis so no need to worry about a reservation. The staff made us feel like we were visiting family.

We booked through Expedia and upgraded to the Altitude category with swim-out pool access. After returning home and reading other reviews, we realized this category included privileges that were never explained at check-in. We paid for services we never used—what I consider a scam. The room was acceptable but lacked a hair dryer and iron, which is unacceptable for a “resort.” The swim-out chairs were moldy, and around the kids’ pool there was foul-smelling stagnant water, likely due to poor drainage. That walkway connects to restaurants, and it was impossible to avoid stepping in it. Finding available chairs was nearly impossible. Entertainment was almost nonexistent—no shows or activities like other resorts. It was a boring and forgettable stay. Food and drinks were disappointing. The buffet had limited, low-quality options. Grill meat was edible but overly salty. The Mexican restaurant served the worst hotel meal we’ve ever had—we left without eating. Only the hibachi was good, but required a two-hour wait to book. Even then, drink service was poor—only tea offered, no water or wine unless requested. Alcoholic drinks were low quality: mojitos with spoiled mint, served in plastic cups. Although the hotel has some acceptable facilities, our experience was very negative due to poor service, bad food, cleanliness issues, and zero communication. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT.

This is the first time for us in Cabo and we chose Krystal Grand to celebrate our anniversary. The resort is located on the beach and offers 2 large pools, a pool with water slides for small kiddos and an adult pool. We had great time along with our 2 kids who enjoyed the food options and especially the ocean view from our room which was on the altitude building. All the staff were very polite and helpful but Gabriel (concierge) was the highlight of our trip. He checked on us often to make sure we are having a great time and he made sure to accommodate any requests we had. He is the best and he made our stay so enjoyable that we want to come back here again! Thanks Gabriel for making our anniversary celebration the most memorable!

We had a wonderful stay! Being honest, at first the hotel is not what I expected but I have no complaints. Our room was clean, we needed some accommodations and the staff promptly took care of it. Although the buffet could use some variety of food (specially for kids) service was good. Big thanks to the pool service guys Angel and Ulises for taking great care of us and the kids at all times and our concierge Gabriel. Also shout out to Urias in animation for making our stay fun. We came to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and our start was fantastic to say the least on our first day we were greeted by Gabriel who was very welcoming and they have their own Expedia reservation attendant the second day Omar helped us out and he truly went out of his way to make our vacation the most memorable form constantly checking in on us to accommodating the perfect room for our anniversary! The stay was enjoyable overall. The food was decent, with several restaurants available on-site. We opted for the Italian cuisine, while the portions were quite small, the pizza stood out as especially delicious. Unfortunately, both restaurants we tried had wait times exceeding an hour, which was a bit frustrating. Swimming in the ocean wasn’t an option due to safety concerns, but the views were absolutely stunning and made up for it. The entertainment was a highlight—there was something happening every night, and the resort offered a daytime schedule with activities like aerobics, volleyball, and soccer to keep guests engaged.

Not young adult oriented

This hotel is not for those who are young (20-30’s), single, couples, or solo travelers. We booked an all inclusive because we planned to not leave the hotel and enjoy all its amenities. But It is definitely is catered for FAMILIES! The food service was terrible, bedrooms were outdated, amenities were also outdated and in bad condition, and there were no activities on the property. You cannot go in the beach unless you want to be taken by the waves, to rent a cabana you have to pay $80 but you can’t even enjoy it as it’s far from the beach and you can’t even get in. The pools were always filled with families with kids whom seem to always have pooped diapers, and staff never said anything. The “adult only” pool always had a kid in the vicinity, and the swim up bar closes at 5pm with watered down drinks. The restaurants served food with no flavor, the previous nights food, and always had flies in it. The bedroom was clean with beds that shook with any movement, the curtains were falling and breaking, and the sink in the bathroom never drained properly smelling like sewage. The hotel didn’t have events that catered to younger adults, and whatever events they did have were empty and not fun at all. Do not stay here unless you are prepared to be bored, have a family, and don’t mind leaving the hotel.

Overall it’s a place to relax, family friendly. If you want to drink or party I would suggest staying closer to los cabos. Bars didn’t have many drink options and pool bartender were not very welcoming. Other than that Gabriel and Omar always kept checking with us and making sure we were taken care of. Not many food options breakfast buffet got old after day 2. Would recommend if you want to go and relax.
