The carpet in my room was torn up in a spot as soon as you walk in the door. There was no ventilation fan in the bathroom. The bathroom door was a sliding door with a 1 inch gap between the door and the wall it was up against, and the door didn’t even shut all the way, leaving at least a 4 inch gap. if there were two people staying in that room, every time someone would go to the bathroom, the other person would hear it and probably smell it. The toilet only flushed properly once out of every three or four flushes. It would usually just mix everything up in the toilet without draining anything out or it would be too weak to really do anything. The rolling chair in the room had stains all over it. This place was supposed to be a nice hotel, but I’ve stayed in nicer motels that cost a quarter of what I paid to stay here. That being said, the staff was very nice.

Amazing weekend

It was an amazing spot right on whiskey row. Everyone i met on this trip the hotel staff, local bartenders and restaurants were amazing. I cam for the bourbon festival in bardstown but i would easily spend a weekend just in downtown Louisville and this hotel.

I have stayed in a few Alofts over the years, and in general, they are very good. The Louisville site is a bit of a mixed bag. A great deal of construction is going on in the street area, which makes the hotel noisy (not their fault, but you just need to be aware). The rooms are very good overall, but for some reason, the flushing of the toilets is a bit of a loud experience. It sounds like a firecracker going off in the water. You can clearly hear at night this rather loud flushing sound in your rooms and others on your floor. The other area they could improve is the bar; it's a good, well-stocked bar, but lacks staff to handle any size crowd.

I am guessing that the thermostat has a motion sensor to it so we kept waking up through out the night hot. We would wave a hand to turn it back on and it would start right back up.We were also on the second level and constantly heard engine/exhaust noise all night.
