Charlie Long Cabin - Active Heroes

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful cabin in Shepherdsville, KY. Located at the Active Heroes Retreat, a nonprofit organization that serves and supports military veterans and their families. All proceeds from cabin rentals directly support the maintenance of the 145-acre property and a series of programs offered at no cost to veterans.

During your stay, enjoy our 5-mile hiking trail, professional disc golf course, and numerous other outdoor activities and amenities.

The Charlie Long cabin is a 3-bedroom/2-full bath oasis.

There is a King Bed in the upstairs primary suite and a bathroom with a standing shower.

The first floor has a pull-out Queen Sofa, 1 Queen Bed, and a bathroom with a standing shower. This Cabin is Handicap accessible on the first floor, but the shower is not.

Linens, towels, kitchenware, and dishes are provided.

Each cabin has a fire pit area and grill in front of the cabin, and a child play area and outdoor game equipment are also available.

Dogs are allowed if housebroken and leash trained (maximum 2), and no other pets (including cats, birds, and reptiles) are permitted in the cabins.

All cabins are Non-Smoking.

Guests have access to their cabin and the surrounding outdoor amenities, including but not limited to hiking trails, a professional-grade disc golf course, a playground, a regulation-size volleyball pit, bikes, and a barbecue area.

This cabin offers its guests barbecue grills. The front desk is open around the clock.
