Hotel was designed well and quiet and the staff was SO kind. We paid for river view king with no river view and the heater didn’t work in the room. Staff was kind enough to bring us a space heater. Sheets were not turned over even after 4 nights , and there was dust on lighting fixtures. Robe was not replaced either. We loved our stay but housekeeping can use some work and the heating and view issues should be resolved.

Our stay was very disappointing. The rooms are not appropriately sound-proofed (for interior or exterior noise). We heard all traffic noise, as well as other guests in an adjoining room, during the middle of the first night of our stay. Based on other upgrades to the hotel's interior, it was very disappointing to see that the hotel did not invest in appropriate sound proofing/insulation. We informed the hotel about the issue in our specific room, however, they could not guarantee that a different room would resolve the problem. We ultimately had to change hotels for the second night of our stay due to this noise issue. We are awaiting a refund of the second night given that we checked out before 1 pm.

The hotel is beautiful and has a great history. Which is one of the reasons we wanted to stay there. The staff and location was excellent. The rooms where nice and spacious. But, the floors were dirty. I had to throw out 4 pairs of socks. Each time I walked around the room my socks where black from all the dirt. The bathroom also needs a bit of upkeep. There was rust on the corners of the shower and some of the tiles where cracked by the shower handle. With this hotel being only open for 4 yrs I thought the rooms would have been in better condition.

The room was wonderfully decorated and clean, and the shower was amazing. Service was also great: Linda shlepped up a flight of stairs at 10 PM to get an extra coffee for me, and Kevin at the front desk was consistently friendly and professional. Wild Swann, the hotel restaurant, has both great food and drinks; I highly recommend the Beet Salad. If you get Travis as your bartender, you are in for a treat: this guy should be a comedian. I will definitely stay here the next time I'm in Louisville.

We had a pleasant stay at the Grady Hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating from start to finish. We were initially placed in a room near the elevator, but after mentioning the noise, they quickly moved us without any issue, which we really appreciated. The room and bathroom were very clean overall. We did notice some stains on the bed sheets, which was a bit disappointing, but aside from that, everything was well maintained. The on-site restaurant was a highlight of our stay—the ambiance was great, and it had a really nice vibe. The hotel’s location is also a big plus, with several museums and downtown attractions within easy walking distance, making it very convenient for exploring the area. Overall, a solid experience with excellent service, and we’d consider staying again.
