Beautiful restful stay

What a beautiful gite to stay in to visit the Provence region of France. It is ideally located in the Luberon region and provides good access to numerous sights across the area. The coast can be reached in just over an hour (Cassis was beautiful) as well as the Camargue. The small villages in the area were easily accessible as was Avignon and Aix. The gite is 1.6 km up a lane from Lourmarin which was a beautiful village to be near with numerous choices of restaurants to enjoy. It is walkable back but be aware that it is a 20 minute uphill walk back from the village on an unlit lane. However we did the walk a number of times to enjoy the food and wine. The gite itself, whilst small, was fully and comprehensively equipped with everything we required. The access lane past the property leads to one other property and was hardly used - the neighbours giving a very friendly wave as they went past. The shower room was very well appointed and served us well for our two week stay with our little cocker spaniel. Whilst the overall site isn’t fenced we had been made aware of this in advance and it caused us no issues. The communication we had from the owners in advance of our arrival provided us with all the information that we required to make our stay wholly enjoyable. Thank you for letting us hire your beautiful cottage with its views across fields of thyme and vineyards and giving us the two weeks of relaxation in peace and quiet that we were so in need of.

Lourmarin ist eine Reise wert!

Das Haus ist sehr alt und verfügt über einen ausgesprochenen Charme. Trotzdem gibt es einiges zu bemängeln. Der Übergang von der Straße zu dem Weg der zum Haus führt ist eine Katastrophe. Eine klaffende Rinne von ca 40 cm Breite und 20 cm Tiefe muss erstmal überwunden werden. Nichts für tiefergelegte Autos. Gut, dass wir einen Outback fahren.Die Betten sind sehr weich und durchgelegen und im Bad, das durchaus liebevoll gestaltet wurde, ist der nicht geflieste Betonrand bereits voller schwarzer Schimmelflecken. Ansonsten ist alles da, was man braucht. Den Ort Lourmarin kann ich wirklich empfehlen, er ist wunderschön und ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Entdeckungstouren in die Umgebung! Jederzeit gerne wieder, dann aber in eine anderer Fewo!

Schöner Aufenthalt

Wir haben uns im Gite wohl gefühlt. Es liegt sehr ruhig am Ortsrand, hat einen Garten mit Esstisch und Liegestühlen. Dort haben wir uns gerne aufgehalten. Das Gite ist gut ausgestattet, die Betten sind bequem. Der schöne Ort Lourmarin ist leicht zu erreichen und ist gut gelegen, um die Sehenswürdigkeiten im Luberon und darüber hinaus zu erkunden. Obwohl die Vermieter nicht vor Ort leben, war die Kommunikation über E-Mail problemlos möglich.

Entspannend

Der Kontakt mit den Vermietern war unkompliziert, ebenso die kontaktlose Schlüsselübergabe. Die Wegbeschreibung war sehr gut, sodass wir das Haus schnell gefunden haben. Der Abstellplatz für das Auto ist überdacht und schattig. Die Wohnung befindet sich in Ortsnähe (2km) und liegt mitten in Weinbergen und Feldern, es ist absolut ruhig dort. Die kleine Zufahrtsstraße, die von den Anwohnern mit benutzt wird, verläuft direkt neben dem Haus. Schade fanden wir daher als Hundebesitzer, dass das Haus nicht umzäunt war. Die Fahrräder können auf der Terrasse abgestellt werden. Die Wohnung ist komplett modernisiert und geschmackvoll eingerichtet sowie insgesamt gut ausgestattet. Das Mobiliar bot uns genügend Stauraum, nur die Matratze fanden wir persönlich zu weich, da sind die Geschmäcker wohl unterschiedlich. Der Ort ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für zahlreiche Ausflüge im Luberon, die Vermieter haben sehr sorgfältig entsprechendes Infomaterial zusammengetragen. Die Wohnung war insgesamt sehr sauber, nur im Bad waren Kalkablagerungen zu sehen. Was uns gefehlt hat waren Tabs, Klarspüler und Salz für die Spülmaschine sowie ein Cerankochplattenreiniger, solche Sachen waren bisher in den Ferienwohnungen immer vorhanden. Ansonsten haben wir uns dort wohl gefühlt, das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis waren jedoch nicht ganz stimmig.

Location idéale pour être au calme. Maison fraiche et très bien équipée. Jardin ombragé. Abri garage idéal pour avoir une voiture toujours fraiche. Les voisins très discrets. Région très riche en visites, les petits villages, la lavande, le Mont Ventoux, les ocres du roussillon et les marchés.

Sehr entspannter Aufenthalt im wunderschönen Luberon

Der Urlaub war sehr angenehm in schöner Umgebung und hübsch eingerichteter und gut ausgestatteter Ferienwohnung. Die Nachbarn waren ruhig und sehr nett. Der Garten hatte gemütliche Schattenplätze, wo man auch mal einen Nachmittag einfach lesen und entspannen konnte. Nur Liegestühle hätten wir uns noch gewünscht. In der Umgebung kann man sehr viel unternehmen: wandern, Schlösser, romantische Dörfer und schöne Städte......
