Our place is a quiet, farm-style retreat in Wainuiomata, with open space, native bush, and friendly sheep and alpacas around the property. While it feels rural and peaceful, it’s still an easy drive to Lower Hutt and Wellington.

Because this is a real farm setting, you may notice uneven ground, insects, and wildlife outdoors. Inside, the space is clean and comfortable, with a few short steps leading into the accommodation.
During your stay at this country house, you'll be close to Queensgate Shopping Centre.

Basically a rundown Bach that's seen little to no improvement, except maybe seen a lick of paint. If you like Indoor Camping, then perfect, otherwise you'll be disappointed. Heating inadequet, heater shuts off after around 4 hours in middle of night, even when timer disabled or set to 8 hours. Incidentally no instructions how to use heater remote control, I had to ask Mr Google. Really only suitable for mid Summer. Needs a proper Heat Pump. Parking poor, needs a 5 point turn or more to turn around, even with a small vehicle or reverse up a slope and round a blind corner, no fun in the dark. Not recommended for pets, it's on a lifestyle block with roaming live stock and no fencing except at road entry/exit. Gate to road has to be unchained and chained when passing through. Path to accommodation is up several outdoor steps with trip hazards and no working lighting except at the top if you remember to turn it on before leaving. Other than the above, in a beautiful and quiet location and on Starlink for Internet, which was very good and fast. Unfortunately fell well short of my expectations. I can stay in a 1* Motel and be more comfortable.

Arrived just on dark, in the rain. No access to cabin for vehicle, so had to walk up steps on an unlit path, in the rain and the dark to get there. No outside undercover area like a porch to put wet footwear, so had to track the water inside. The room was still dirty from the last occupant, dirty sheets and towels with no clean bedding anywhere to be found. Luckily I had some of my own bedding in my vehicle - which I then had to go back out in the driving rain and dark to retrieve. Would never go back again.

Perfect for a solo traveler needing seclusion. The property has potential to be beautiful but the main house is a bit of a junkyard. Parking needs to be laid out better and signage would be helpful. Stayed only 1 rainy night but would have loved a day to explore the surrounding bush. Enjoyed the sunken bathtub and the foam mattress was comfortable. The space heater was perfect to warm up the room. Personally I think the cost was a bit high in comparison to nicer places.
