Disappointed
The house itself was clean and spacious in a very nice, quiet neighborhood. It’s the outside that was an issue. The front flower bed was full of weeds, and although I don’t own the house, I was embarrassed because the neighborhood was so nice. The back patio was dirty with cobwebs and old pool floats. The patio furniture was extremely worn, the wicker was disintegrated. The host then tried to blame my 12 year old, 17 lb miniature Dachshund for the damage! This is something that happened over years of exposure to the Lubbock climate, not an elderly dog who can barely walk. The pool was dirty and stained. There was no vacuum as the house instruction book said. It also said there was a remote to heat the pool and spa however we could not find one. When I contacted the host, He said it had been broken the previous weekend and the vacuum removed so we had no way to heat the pool or use the spa, one of the main reasons we got this house! The kids still swam but it was not comfortable for the rest of us. The gas grill, a blackstone, would only light on half of the burner making it unusable for cooking for a group. As I said the house was great so If you want a nice house with plenty of room, this is your place.
