The apartment was great and in a lovely location - central but tucked away so not noisy. However the check in/check out process was terrible, the agency staff are stuck in a time warp! Everything was cash only, the agency shuts for three hours in the middle of the day, the additional extras fees (all to be paid in cash) are unnecessary these days - just make the cost higher to cover electricity, bed linen and cleaning. The worst part was the check out. Someone from the agency comes and inspects the property at a time that suits them (not you) and then you are lectured on how to vacate the property - if you skip this you will lose the hundreds of euros you have had to leave as a deposit. Given you have already paid ’000s to rent the property, you should be able to enjoy it and not be subject to a student-style end of tenancy inspection!! If the owners changed the managing agents then I would happily recommend the apartment, until then avoid it.
