Bring your own supplies, flies,…
Our host, Chiara Luisi, was late to check us in. She was busy and didn’t have much time for us. The three of us stayed for five nights and asked for more toilet paper as only two small rolls were provided. The answer was no. This is a ‘self catering’ apartment and you have to bring your own supplies or buy your own laundry detergent, toilet paper, coffee, tea, etc.
We had problems with mosquitoes and flies. Smacked many mosquitoes during our stay. When windows are opened, flies come in and fly in circles around the rooms so we stopped opening windows. It’s a shame as we would have preferred fresh air to air conditioning. The apartment upstairs had screens on their windows to prevent bugs but not this apartment.
Cleaning could be more thorough. The occupants upstairs are loud moving around in the morning and late at night. If we had known, we would avoid ‘self catering’ properties and big businesses like Chiara’s or Lucca Apartments and Villas because they are just too busy.
