Toto's house is simply incredible! We loved the location and setting. The large kitchen with the big table was perfect for a bunch of foodies who enjoy cooking and eating (and talking about cooking and eating!) to come together around at the end of the day. The pool - and the views from it - are breathtaking. We felt very privileged and spoiled to be able to enjoy lazing around for a week, taking in the view of the valley below and watching a pair of buzzards circling overhead on the thermal currents as bees, butterflies and dragonflies dropped by to say hello too!The added bonus of three bathrooms was great. The beds were comfortable and the aircon in the two single bedded rooms was VERY much appreciated!The road up to the house from the main route was a little hairy with five of us in a big car full of luggage and the spoils of our supermarket haul along the way from Pisa but nothing that patience and a concentration couldn't solve!All-in-all, our trip was wonderful and Toto was a fantastic host. We'll definitely be back!

The house was perfect for our family and friends. We thoroughly enjoyed the rustic nature of the house - so roomy and had everything we needed. The kitchen hosted many meals. The swimming pool was sublime. We loved Toto and his dad and sister. The horse and donkey were an added bonus for the kids to see.

Beautiful

We are a group of 4 children (aged 1 -10) and 5 adults. We all loved our stay, and were very comfortable. The house was very clean and well equipped and there was plenty of space for us all. Casa di Toto is a charming old farmhouse on a hill. The house is semi-detached, with Toto living next door, however, it always felt like we were in a private area and not overlooked. The highlight was the beautiful gardens and view from them. There were several pleasant areas for the adults to sit and relax, a lawn for the kids to run about on and a tree house to play in. At night, the garden was full of fireflies which were magical to watch. Everybody loved the infinity pool, it was truly special to swim with the amazing view of the hills. It was big and deep enough for us all to enjoy a swim and a splash and there is a smaller, shallower pool attached to the back of the main pool which was great for the younger kids to have a paddle in. The pool was kept clean and well maintained.The drive to and from the main road is steep and windy but you get used to it. Once on the main road, Lucca is a short drive. We were also able to get to the beach, Pisa, Florence and the hillside villages of Bagni di Lucca within a reasonable drive. Toto is an excellent host, he was friendly and welcoming and on hand if needed. He provided us with interesting information about the house as well as well as tips on the local area. I would love to visit Casa di Toto again and would recommend it to anyone.

Rustic Charm at its best

We were a family of 8 (five adults and three children aged 7, 5 and 2) and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Di Toto. It’s a lovely old farmhouse, set amongst stunning scenery. We felt really relaxed throughout our stay...even though Toto and his family live next door. Toto gives you absolute privacy and is very nice and friendly. We made good use of the pool, BBQ and terrace. We particularly liked the little walk to the swimming pool and the views from it. It’s only a ten minute drive to beautiful Lucca and 25 minutes drive to the coast too. Everything was perfect!

Wonderful family vacation in a charming old farmhouse with an amazing view

Our party of 8 (6 adults + 2 children) had a great stay at Casa di Toto, a beautiful and authentic farmhouse near Lucca (about a 10 minutes drive by car). The place is peaceful, rooms are clean and the kitchen is well-equiped for families up to 10 persons. The farmhouse is a very nice and comfortable retreat after a day of exploring the northern part of Tuscany (e.g. Lucca, Pisa, Florence, Viareggio etc..). The view from the casa is astonishing whether you are sitting at one of the terraces, laying at the swimming pool or looking out of one the bedroom windows. Toto is an excellent and a very kind host. Very reachable, helpfull and he also he lets everyone enjoy their privacy. As more travellers already mentioned the private road uphill can be challenging for a larger van. Lucca is a charming middle-sized town and is not as touristy as e.g. Pisa or Florence. We loved exploring the medieval center with its cute little shops and walking/biking on the city walls. We recommend Casa di Toto to any traveller who wants to discover beautiful Tuscany. Toto, grazie mille for the great experience and your assistance!

Fantastic stay!

We have been ten people from 7 years to 78 years. Everyone is over the moon with excitement after 14 wonderful days at Toto's. The host does everything to make us feel good, and has helped us with everything we have asked. The house is charming and the pool is a jewel. Evening swim with a view of Lucca is magical. Partirei con il fare i complimenti a Toto per la sua disponibilità e cortesia . Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno davvero piacevole in questa struttura, casa molto accogliente e pulita. Unico appunto, se soggiornate tanto tempo, i materassi non sono troppo comodi. Consigliamo comunque vivamente questa struttura!

Erholung pur

Ein Ort zum Erholen und Ruhe tanken. Der großzügige Pool war immer wieder Treffpunkt der ganzen Familie, ein Mega Ausblick zu jeder Tageszeit! Das großzügige Haus mit der gesamten Anlage bietet alles für einen wunderschönen erholsamen Urlaub. Die Auffahrt zum Haus ist eine kleine herausfordernd am Anfang aber machbar und mit jeder Fahrt wird es besser. Toto, der Vermieter ist sehr nett und freundlich. Man merkt, dass er sich mit viel Liebe um alles kümmert. Es war eine unvergessliche Zeit, Danke!.

Fantastisch verblijf

We waren met twee gezinnen in dit fantastische huis. Mooi gelegen boven op de berg met schitterend uitzicht over Lucca. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien en Toto is zeer behulpzaam en als er een vraag is reageert hij snel. Je kan heerlijk buiten eten op het terras onder de pergola en ‘s avonds lekker bbq’en. Wij hebben enorm genoten. De weg naar de locatie toe is een ervaring op zich maar zeker goed te doen. Dichtbij Lucca en in de buurt zijn heerlijke restaurants. Een echte aanrader. Toto nogmaals bedankt voor alles!

Toskana- feeling pur

Casa di Toto liegt oben am Berg, das über Serpentinen zu erreichen ist. Man ist dort fast alleine, nur Toto wohnt mit seiner Familie nebenan. Das Haus ist groß und liegt ideal, um Ausflüge in jegliche Richtungen zu unternehmen. Danach ist der eigene Pool ideal, um sich abzukühlen und den tollen Ausblick zu genießen.

Tolles Haus, Pool mit toller Aussicht

Dieses Haus an einem Hügel in der Nähe von Lucca ist ein Traum! Wir (Gruppe von 8 Freunden) haben den Garten, den Pool mit der tollen Aussicht und die Umgebung sehr genossen! In der grossen Küche haben wir selber Pasta gekocht und Brot gebacken. Kräuter fanden wir im Umschwung um das Haus. In Lucca ist man schnell, vor allem mit dem Auto. Wir waren jeweils auch ohne unterwegs und wurden dafür beim Hinauflaufen im Dunkeln mit einem Anblick von schwirrenden Glühwürmchen belohnt. Wirklich ein wundervolles Stücken Erde. Der Gastgeber Toto war sehr hilfsbereit und hat sich gut um uns Gäste gekümmert und war bei Problemen telefonisch erreichbar. Danke nochmals für die super Gastfreundschaft. Dies ist wichtig zu wissen (keine Kritik): - Geschlafen haben wir auch alle gut (gute Matratzen und gute Verteilung der Räume) Die Läden lassen sich nicht lichtdicht schliessen. - Das WLAN war nicht so stabil und auch nicht im ganzen Haus erreichbar. Diest hat einige gestört und mich persönlich nicht wirklich, weil ich in den Ferien auf Internet verzichten kann. - Mit einem min. einem Auto dort zu sein ist sehr ratsam. Wir waren auch oft ohne unterwegs, jedoch ist man dann sehr auf Taxis angewiesen. Der Bus fährt fast nie.

Toto is a great host! Everything that could possibly be needed is available, if something is missing, he solves it immediately. Toto has great knowledge of the area, so ask him for tips. Having your own car is a must. In the beginning, you were a little worried about the way up to the house, but you learned it quickly. There were 8 of us living in the house and there was plenty of room for all of us. Thank you for a fantastic week in Lucca 😍

Ein traumhafter Aufenthalt

Wir verbrachten mit zwei Familien mit fünf Kindern 10 traumhafte Tage in der Toskana. Die Anfahrt zum Haus ist etwas abenteuerlich aber für uns mit Minivan gut machbar, die Lage entschädigt für jede Mühe. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet, die Küche groß und vollständig ausgestattet. Es fehlt einfach an nichts. Der Garten ist sehr liebevoll angelegt, der Blick ins Tal von der Terrasse und vom Pool ein Traum. Toto und seine Frau waren großzügige Gastgeber und jederzeit unkompliziert zu erreichen. Vielen Dank für einen tollen Aufenthalt!
