Location
On the border of Switzerland and Italy, the city of Lugano is the ideal holiday destination. Not only is it in a stunning location, tucked between the beautiful Lago Lugano and the mountains, it combines the best of Swiss and Italian culture and cuisine. This unique combination is celebrated at MASI (the Museum of Art of Italian Switzerland) (20-minute walk) which hosts regular contemporary art exhibitions.

The city is home to many festivals throughout the year, including the “Luganomusica” festival every summer. For a more active type of festival, there are regular mountain running races throughout the year as part of the Ticino Mountain Running Cup.

A day trip on the Lago Lugano is a must, as is a walk along Lugano’s famous waterfront, with breathtaking views over the lake.

For business travellers, the apartment is just an 11-minute walk from the Centro Esposizioni Lugano exhibition centre and an 18-minute walk from the Palazzo Dei Congressi Lugano.

The closest international airports are in Italy - Milan Malpensa 1 hour and 5 minutes away by car, or Milan Linate, a 1 hour and 20-minute journey. Arriving by train? Lugano’s railway station is a 25-minute walk from the apartment.
