Situated on the ground floor of a historic two-story Villa, the property is surrounded by lush greenery. Ideally set up for alfresco living, the property features a pretty patio terrace with a wonderful view of the lake. Here, guests can dine under the stars, relax with a good book, or simply unwind and bask in the sun.

Inside, the living room looks out to the terrace through two huge arched glass doors. This room is stylishly furnished with a coffee table and a comfortable sofa, positioned to enjoy the incredible view.

The separate eat-in kitchen is furnished with a dining table for 2 and equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine, an induction hob, an oven, a dishwasher and a fridge freezer.

Location

The apartment is situated close to the base of Monte Brè in the picturesque neighbourhood of Castagnola, a 10-minute walk from Parco San Michele. The historic centre of Lugano, the beautiful Parco Ciani, museums, San Lorenzo Cathedral, the terraces of Piazza della Riforma and Lugano casino are all within a 20-minute walk/7-minute drive.

In Cassarate (a 10-minute walk), guests can take the funicular railway to the summit of Monte Brè. There is also a ferry terminal, where visitors will find routes to explore the lake by boat. In the summer, guests can sunbathe and swim in the lake at Lido San Domenico (a 4-minute drive / 20-minute walk).

For the best local ingredients, guests should head to Lugano’s farmers market (Tuesdays and Fridays) on Via Carducci (a 7-minute drive). Alternatively, the closest restaurant is a 20-minute walk/a 5-minute drive, and there is a supermarket a 2-minute drive from the accommodation.

The lovely town of Gandria (a 4-minute drive) makes for a great day out. Visitors can wander through the village’s winding streets or hike along the wonderful Sentiero Dell’Olivo. For more beautiful hiking routes, guests can cross over into Italy and enjoy the unspoiled forests and hills of Valsolda (a 25-minute drive).

The summits of Monte Salvatore and Monte Bre are both a 15-minute drive away and ideal for hikers and cycling enthusiasts (Lugano has 300km of extensive cycling network, the biggest in Switzerland).

The closest international airport is Milan Malpensa, approximately a 1-hour and 20-minute drive.
