About this property
Pet-Friendly Yurt Getaway on the Shenandoah River in Luray, Virginia
This lovely pet-friendly yurt getaway is located in Luray, Virginia, near the Shenandoah Valley. This rental is right on the Shenandoah River and sleeps up to seven people, with a queen bed, a full size bunk on bottom of twin bed on top, and a futon. Comforters and pillows are provided, but guests must bring their own linens, blankets, and/or sleeping bags.
Guests will have access to bathroom facilities, which is within steps of the yurt. There are men's and women's rooms, including two shower stalls, three toilets, and sinks, as well as hot water and electric heaters and pedestal fans. Toilet paper and hand soap are provided.
Inside the yurt, guests will have a wall unit air conditioner and a ceiling fan to keep them cool. Snacks and hot drinks can be prepared in the yurt with the appliances inside, including a small refrigerator, a microwave, a Crock-Pot, a coffee pot, a waffle iron, and a toaster. An electric heater is provided and keeps things cozy, and there is a smart tv with a DVD player for evening entertainment. Guests must bring their own DVDs. In addition, t-mobile WiFi is available.
Outside the yurt, there is a picnic table on site where guests can enjoy morning cups of coffee in the sunshine, or the delicious grilled meals that can be prepared on the charcoal barbecue or the separate pedestal charcoal barbecue. The first barbecue doubles as a fire pit for evenings of s'mores and stories with the family.
All yurts are perfectly located on the river, offering guests a picturesque view as the sun rises and sets. They feature log-accented porches that give them a rustic feel. In addition, the property offers a comfort station with hot showers, three toilets, three sinks, and two shower stalls in each men's and ladies' rooms, which are clean and well-maintained.
Guests will also have on-site electricity, water hydrants, a playground set for the children, fire pits that double as charcoal grills, and a picnic table. Guests can ask the site's hosts about canoes, kayaks, and tube rentals (A complimentary shuttle to the bridge can be provided with advance request, and guests can then float back to camp in tubes. This stretch of river is about two hours and 30 minutes of floating depending on the level of the river.) With such a great outdoor location, it's easy to relax at these yurts.
