Basecamp for Your North Shore/Lutsen Adventures

Newly remodeled home at the base of Ski Hill Road in Lutsen. This home is made-to-order for people interested in the outdoor activities of the North Shore, just minutes to the Gitchi-Gami bike trail, snowmobile trail, Superior National Golf Course, Lutsen Ski Resort, cross-country skiing trails, mountain bike trails and the Superior Hiking Trail. That is why we call it Ski Hill Basecamp!

After your days of adventure, your family and friends can relax at this beautiful property, with spaces to gather together and room to spread out. The kitchen, BBQ grill, and dining area are perfect for eating in. In the summer months, the porch, dining deck, large yard and fire pit will keep the fun going. In the winter, enjoy the winter fire pit (weather permitting) or cuddle up on the deep, comfy couch for a fire and movie. The layout is 2 bedrooms (both with king beds) and 2 bathrooms on the main level, and 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom on the upper level.

While the immediate area is literally fulI of fun things to do (did we mention a gondola, alpine slide, and winery?), we are only 5 minutes to Oberg Loop, 15 minutes to both Temperance River and Cascade River State Parks, and 20 minutes to Grand Marais.

Please note that this home is located on Ski Hill Road close to Hiway 61. This provides unbeatable access to area destinations but does mean it is a less peaceful location. For security, the property has 1 exterior camera on the driveway and front door. We will gladly disarm the camera during your stay upon request.

Ski Trip with Friends & Family

This house is exactly as described and we really enjoyed it. Well equiped with everything we needed (table for all of us to play games, a propane grill, food storage, huge shareable couch and comfy chairs for TV watching) and things we hadn't thought of (like cheese knives, a coffee grinder, and a cocktail shaker). Communication with Shadee was always prompt and she handled everything we needed. Our group (2 couples, 2 kids, 1 single) had a great time and all said we'd book this home again. It's located within 5 min of Lutsen Mtn, 10 min from Lutsen (town), and 20 min from Grand Marais.

Gorgeous house, perfect stay

We had a great time staying at this property. The place is beautiful! It was a great location. Very clean and super thoughtfully stocked. I have never rented a house with a kitchen as well stocked with cookware and supplies as this one. We had everything we needed to prepare meals. We would definitely want to return!

Went up with some friends and family and had a blast. Close to the ski hill and beautiful place to come back to and have a dinner all together. Everyone had a room and plenty of bathrooms so we weren’t stepping over each other. Was a great place to stay for a ski trip

Wonderful property you won’t want to leave!

My race crew and I used this property as our base camp during the Superior 100 Endurance run on the Superior Hiking Trail. It was absolutely perfect for what we needed. Location is great, has all the amenities you need, and Shadee is a great host! Highly recommend this property for any North Shore adventure, big or small!

Mesmerizing Ceiling Fans

Wonderful, perfect home for our family, 6 adults 1 kid (he got his own queen size bed) and he thought this was a mansion!! We love ceiling fans in bed rooms but the great room fans were fun just to watch and absolutely no wobble :-)!! Everything about this home was great and a lot of thought put into big and small details.

Great North Shore home.

This home made for a great long weekend getaway. It was close to so many of the parks, hiking areas, Lutsen Mountain activities and Northshore Winery. We enjoyed the fire pit on the cool June day and the screened in porch when the Minnesota mosquitoes came out in full force. The house had everything we needed with all the cooking utensils for us to make our own meals. The hosts were great communicators. We will be back.

NORTH SHORE PERFECTION!

This was easily one of the nicest VRBO's I've ever stayed in! We had 8 adults and there was plenty of room for everyone. The place has all the amenities you could ask for, and MORE! Kitchen was stocked with everything imaginable for cooking and serving. Each and every guest commented on how comfortable the beds were, and how nice the bathrooms were. Hands down one of the best places on the north shore! FIVE STAR IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT!! Will definitely be back in the future!

Stocked with everything you need, and more. Very comfortable beds, hosts very responsive and cared about making sure we had a great stay. Ideal North Shore Getaway

What a stunningly beautiful location, perfect for our family's Christmas holiday on the North Shore. A gorgeous home and property. Our 6 adults had plenty of space to cook dinners, play games around the table, and cozy up to movies in the evening near the stunning indoor fireplace. The home was comfortable, extremely clean, and everything we could ask for. Shadee was a wonderful host, very responsive and friendly. Lutsen Ski Trip

The house was amazing. Plenty of room for the six people that were there and having three separate bathrooms was very nice. To get to the main chalet was an easy 4 minute drive. The living room and kitchen were big rooms that we were able to all be together in the evenings. Everything we could have needed was provided for us (dishes, coffee maker, board games, speaker, TV). I highly recommend staying here as the host was also very easy to work with.
