The space :
Luxury. Nature. Stillness.
Escape to Renosterveld Eco Pods, where luxury, privacy and nature come together on the banks of the Breede River.
Nestled within a 350-hectare protected conservation area near Malgas, our beautifully designed eco pods offer a rare opportunity to slow down, disconnect from everyday life and reconnect with nature.
Wake to birdsong, enjoy your morning coffee overlooking the river, spend the afternoon kayaking or exploring the area, then light the fire beneath your private wood-fired hot tub as the sun sets over the landscape.
Designed to comfortably accommodate up to four guests, each pod features two beautifully appointed en-suite bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, luxury linen, cosy indoor fireplace, Wi-Fi and thoughtfully selected touches that make every stay feel special.
Outside, you'll find everything you need to embrace the slower pace of life. A private wood fired hot tub, outdoor braai, braai top pizza oven, Weber barbeque, suspended cargo net hammock and uninterrupted views across one of South Africa's most endangered vegetation types.

Guest access :
Guests enjoy exclusive use of their private eco pod and outdoor living spaces throughout their stay.
You're also welcome to enjoy access to the Breede River via direct river access for fishing and swimming.
Spend your time kayaking in the kayaks provided, birdwatching, walking or simply relaxing beside the river.
Parking is available directly at each pod, allowing you to settle in and enjoy complete privacy from the moment you arrive.
Other things to note :
Renosterveld Eco Pods is a fully off-grid destination, powered by solar energy and designed to provide all the comforts of modern living while embracing a more sustainable lifestyle.
One of the highlights of every stay is preparing your own private wood-fired hot tub. While it takes a little time to heat, many of our guests tell us this becomes part of the experience itself, slowing down, lighting the fire and watching the stars appear overhead. We pre-heat the tub on request prior to arrival too.
Because we're surrounded by nature, you'll likely encounter abundant birdlife and wildlife during your stay. Please help us preserve this unique environment by respecting the reserve and leaving only footprints behind.
The nearest town is Swellendam, approximately 35 km away, so we recommend purchasing any groceries before arriving.
Most importantly...
Don't arrive with a busy itinerary.
Our guests consistently tell us that the greatest luxury here isn't just the accommodation, it's the feeling of slowing down, reconnecting with nature and leaving more refreshed than when they arrived.
