This is a good budget option in a great part of Lyon. One thing to warn is I don’t think they have a lift, my room was on the 4th floor, great view though.

Bon emplacement. Hôtel basique qui aurait besoin d’un petit rafraîchissement mais les prix étaient alignés
When I arrived at the hotel, there was no one at the front desk. I rang the bell and waited a long time. After ringing many times, an attendant came to the desk (about 30 minutes later). He seemed unprepared for me, and left to find a room. After 15 minutes and me ringing the bell several times again, he came back. He was very nice, appologetic, and assigned a "room with a view". This was on the 4th floor with no elevator. The room's window openned to the view of a wall, and it was extremely hot with no air-conditioning. I went down stairs to request a refund. The attendant said he'd reassign me to the best room. This was on the 5rh floor, and it really was nice. The window opened to a balcony with a view over looking the city. It had a fan and the room cooled off quickly. Even though the service was slow, at first, the end results were a comfortable clean room located close to transportation and a 15 minute walk to Parc de la Tete d'Or. I would stay in that room again. The value for the room was also good.

This is a solid property that is in a safe and fun part of town. It is walking distance to the museum. The staff is super friendly, courteous, and knowledgable.
Barely 2-star. Everything looked and felt cheap and broken. No shower curtain so the bathroom flooded. Dirty sheet. Wifi only worked at 6am. Front desk staff rarely there. Cleaners stole food from my room. I wouldn't have let them in but there was no 'do not disturb' sign and I never saw anyone at the front desk to tell them not to clean.
This is a very basic hotel. Super friendly reception and room was clean. However the whole thing feels a very run and basic down and the bathroom has a bath with hand held shower.
That would be OK but I paid Euro 150 inc tax and it felt like incredibly bad value. It may have been a peak time due to Champions League - game. I just looked again now and it is showing at £67. For that price it feels OK
What a lovely place, great location and with a huge daily morning market running along the Boulevard. Our hosts were great, gave us a map and marked out a good walking route down to the old town, up to the cathedral and Romain site. There was a bath in our bathroom - heaven as after all the walking up hill and down dale, my calves really appreciated the soak in a hot bath. Toiletries and disposable plastic beakers were provided, but we had taken our own and by doing so hope to save on plastic and packaging waste.
Parking in Lyon was a nightmare and we much appreciated the hotel secure parking across the boulevard. The next day we tried to visit the archeological museum but had to give up because there was nowhere to park.
Firstly the good things : Very pleasant staff, good breakfasts and coffee, big comfortable bed and good location in an interesting area, close to lots of restaurants and brasseries. Also only a couple of minutes from the metro.
Now the things I didn't like : check-in took ages, mainly because when I unlocked my room I found it was occupied by another guest and it took a while to get me another room. I had a tiny bathroom which a fat person would not have been able to move in. There was no chair in the room, just a sort of stool I put my suitcase on. I particularly disliked the corridors and stairwell which were quite dingy. To get to the breakfast room on the first floor, you took the lift down to the second floor and walked down a floor and some of the stair treads were worn and potentially dangerous.
To be fair to the hotel, the price was reasonable for a big city, so perhaps I should have paid more for a better hotel.
We stayed here for the European rugby finals in May. The hotel was comfortable, in a lovely area right by the tube station. Approximately 20 minutes walk to the river

Lovely neighbourhood
Stayed for 8 nights for Euro 16.
A small hotel in the district of Croix Rousse. The rooms are not very big but perfectly adequate and whilst they would benefit from some re-decoration, are clean and comfortable.
We were out all day, every day throughout our stay so weren't there very long but found the staff helpful and courteous at all times
The area itself is a delight. Away from the city centre (but easily accessible by Metro) it has its own culture, style and relaxed feel. Lots of bars/bistros and a regular street marked.
All in all, a perfect base for a visit to Lyon
Great place and value hotel for a weekend trip with friends to Lyon. Good location for sightseeing, many restaurants close by, and nightlife. In addition, just in the street outside there is a Sunday street market which is very convenient.
Small, friendly clean hotel. Lovely buffet breakfast. Right in centre of Croix Rousse. Some traffic noise though.

Lyon, near friends
The hotel was satisfactory for our needs as it was near our friends apartment.
The bed was ok and the breakfast was satisfactory.
We would stay again to be near our friends.
Good market in Lyon.
