The place was fine and the breakfast was decent. The major downside is the missing pane of glass above the door so I could hear everything which made sleeping difficult.
Rooms were very clean and showers were hot. Staff were kind. We were able to take a to-go breakfast at 5am for our 6am entry to MP.
It’s hard to have a bad location in Aguas Calientes, everything is a 10 minute walk, same can be said for this hotel. 10mins from the train, 5 from the bus ticket station/where to board the bus to Machu Picchu.
Great affordable option for a night before your MP adventures.
It was really clean and the location was perfect. The staff were really attentive. Besides, they offer really good breakfast. Overall really positive experience and would recommend it to anyone.
We spent 2 nights in March 2025. We loved the place. We had 2 twin bed room. It was impecable, well maintained. We loved being by the river. Breakfast is a buffet, well organised. Staff is friendly.
Nice staff, convenient location, good shower and beds, breakfast was allright. Only thing to improve the wifi.

The sink kept clogging since the first time I tried to use it. The bed linens were clean but the mattress or pillow had a strong musty smell. There was yelling and slamming doors during the night, which the owners did nothing about. Breakfast was good, but the employee serving it acted kind of weird after I tried talking to her the second time (she answered politely the first time). I mean my Spanish is far from stellar but I'm sure what I was trying to ask wouldn't have inconvenienced her that much. It's $40 a night and below acceptable anywhere. You just can't chalk up shoddy service to being in the budget category.
If you're there for Machu Picchu, the shuttle and the ticket sales office is within a minute walk from the hotel.
The breakfast was the same typical tourist fare everyday but it was sufficient. There was only 1 towel per person, so I asked for extra as needed. The sink only has cold water. The shower was hot. We stayed 3 nights on the 4th floor, no elevator- so be ready to hike up.

We enjoyed our stay, walkable to both train and bus stations. Plenty of restaurants around. Quiet at night, river sounds 10/10. Fresh breakfast. They allow you to leave your bags while you visit Matchu pitchu!Very clean! Highly recommended and would definitely stay again.
It was good. Well worth the price point. The showers are a bit cold but I've come to expect this in Peru. Just more of a heads up really. Good location. Kind of on the end of the busy which is nice. I love that all you can hear is the river at night. No barking dogs is a win for sure. I cannot say that for anywhere I've been in this country so far.
Also...I still love it here. They just need to fix the dog situation like many places.
This is a river front property that is within walking distance to the town square without the noise of hustle and bustle. It is also next door to a restaurant with delicious vegetarian options, serving up one of the best ceviche I had. The room was basic, clean, and comfortable. The staff friendly and helpful. You have option to check ans leave your luggage with the recptionist while you do your day excursion. No complaints here.
Pretty new hotel that’s close to town, was perfect for my night in Aguas Calientes. Not far to walk to the bus to get up to Machu Picchu and breakfast offered nice and early in order to accommodate full on days
