Little pillows, dirty remote

We had a king-size bed in our room but for some reason the pillows were about the size of throw pillows. Went to the front desk to see if they had any standard-size pillows (if not king-size). Rang bell several times but manager wasn't there or didn't come out from the office. Also the TV remote control in our room was filthy. Went back to the front desk to see if they had any cleaning wipes. Again the manager was nowhere to be found. Fortunately we had some wet wipes in our car that we used to clean it. A few hours later when we got back from dinner, we stopped at the front desk before going up to our room to try again to get some standard pillows. Had to ring the bell several times again but this time the manager then came out. We asked him if they had any standard-size bed pillows. He just laughed & said "you have 4 pillows; why do you need more?" The pillows were also understuffed. Had to put one on top of the other to make them as thick as a regular pillow, but as soon as you put your head on it they flatten and you have to keep fluffing them. Mattress itself was comfortable but with uncomfortable pillows it was hard to get a good night's sleep. Also the refrigerator in the room wasn't very cold, and the vending machine only offered one kind of diet soda.

Go somewhere else

I asked for a room away from noise due to coming from surgical procedure in my reservation it was very loud went to desk was told I could move upstairs however no elevator and I use walker and can't do steps, also have service dog. I was told I would have to pay to move to a better room for less noise. I said I was not going to pay for something that should be included. I was told well we are busy...4 cars in entire parking lot. I finally got a different room that smelled like mold, had mold, was hard to breathe in, bathroom fan screeched, and bugs..dead ones in by coffee and tea in the room drink basket!! For some reason my pictures of bugs will not attach but will be happy to supply.

The room smelled like somebody spilled a whole bottle of syrup in it. It was like having a sleepover with Mrs Butterworth. Old building, lots of noises throughout the night. Did not sleep well.
