Mas Riera is a typical Catalan country house, dated since the XVIIIc. It was carefully restored by their owners, preserving all its charming atmosphere but carefully equipped with any present day comfort.

It is well situated on Maià de Montcal (Girona) county, among the Empordà and Garrotxa areas. The country house is located in a little neighbourhood called "La Riera". In this natural and quiet place, you will enjoy the peaceful atmosphere at the same time as you discover its possibilities. An interesting choice to spend some days with your family or your friends.
It has a swimming pool and covered barbecue, these spaces are shared with the house Riera-1
Mas Riera is organized in two different apartments (Riera I and Riera II) both fully equipped. The house is surrounded by natural and quiet sceneries: a clear water river, a romanic style bridge and different ancient houses.
In the same set of houses is the manor house from the 13th century, it is where the family that owns it has lived since time immemorial, and we are the ones who will assist you when you arrive and in everything we can help you with.
During your stay at this cottage, you'll be close to Miqvé and Around. Enjoy features like an outdoor pool and laundry facilities. The cottage offers free WiFi and a kitchen.

Fantastic Country Home

We really enjoyed our time at Mas Riera. The pool was a great place for the kids to play and relax, and there are many time worn trails to hike / run. The hosts are very nice and accommodating. They gave great recommendations for day trips, local history and restaurants. So happy we stayed here.

Wonderful country house style

Very nice apartment/house, friendly, pleasant landlords. Rural but perfectly located to explore the beautiful surroundings of Catalonia. Fantastic, very well maintained pool. Thank you to the lovely Riera family for this great holiday.

Todo perfecto, desde la casa hasta el entorno. Un buen sitio para desconectar. Los propietarios muy amables, al llegar nos recomendó alguna ruta y puntos de interés de la zona. Muy contentos y se nos hizo corta la estancia.

Hemos pasado unos 4 días en familia (mi pareja, 2 niñas adolescentes y un bebe) muy agradables en Maia de Montcal. Los propietarios son muy amables y la casa es muy acogedora. Un lugar muy recomendable.

Excepcional, y perfectamente ubicada

Recomendamos este alojamiento sin ninguna duda. Nuestras expectativas fueron superadas, es un lugar con mucha historia y un entorno espectacular. Dolors y Climent se desvivieron por complacernos, nos contaron los origenes y evolucion de la casa pairal, y realmente esto te hace tomar conciencia de encontrarte en un lugar cargado de vivencias. Maià es un pueblecito con mucho encanto, pero si queréis conocer la comarca de la Garrotxa, la casa está equidistante de todos los lugares de interés. La recomiendo 100% para los amantes de la naturaleza y el sosiego. También recomiendo muy cerca de la casa el restaurante la Guixeta. Fuimos dos parejas con dos niñas. Volveremos sin dudarlo, Carmen, Leo y Carola
