La Grange - Ferme des Herils

The Herils farm (ferme-herils) is a property of more than 2 hectares whose first buildings go up with William the Conqueror era.
The farm is probably an old transformed castle which would have given its name to a commune attached to Maisons in 1830. Of this old castle, there remain some elements like the monumental porch, of the loopholes in the tower of the habitation, "pigeon" in one of the dependences, a bakery.
This lodging is located in an old barn and kept any sound charms with its beams and its walls out of apparent stones.
It includes at ground floor :

Peaceful property in the countryside

La Grange was a lovely place to stay. The house is set in peaceful countryside, but within a short drive of Bayeux. The Normandy landing beaches and Caen are also close by. Anne-Francoise was very welcoming and we had everything we needed for a comfortable visit.

Very nice comfortable and quiet country Gite perfectly located for visiting the D-Day beaches and museums, as well as Bayeux. We had an excellent stay!

If you are going to be needing a place to stay anywhere near this area, take the opportunity to stay here! It's peaceful, beautiful, comfortable, and plenty of room for 4 people. You will need pantry items if you're going to cook at the house, but all dishes and cooking utensils are there. A++

Nous avons bien apprécié le gîte qui est spacieux et très propre. Nous y avons passé 4 jours en octobre. Le foyer de bois très fonctionnel a été un plus à notre séjour . L'environnement extérieur est bien entretenu . Les propriétaires sont accueillants et sympathiques. Je recommanderais ce gite sans hésiter.

Sehr ruhige Lage in interessanter Umgebung, freundlich zugewandte Vermieter. Große Rasenfläche vor dem Haus. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und konnten viele Fahrradausflüge von dort aus machen.
