Perfect for guests who are deaf

The apartment is pleasantly appointed with a couple of minor irritants - the bath takes 30 minutes to drain, the lovely hairdryer's plug keeps falling out of the power socket, the washing machine is prone to jumping violently during the fast spin cycle. But all of this is nothing compared to the total lack of sound proofing from the neighbouring flats an d the stairwell. It's as if the walls were made of paper. Worse than that the street noise easily penetrates the highly ineffective double windows and shutter with a cacophony laughing, shouting from passersby and bars that are over 50m away until 4am Worse still the cleansing vehicle sits directly below the window with its engine running from 4am to 4.30am whilst operatives jet water on the road surface. Oh, and I'm NOT a light sleeper, but I didn't get a night's sleep for the entire stay.
