Summer trip

It was so easy to book this location. The home was very clean. The view was stunning & we loved the quiet seclusion. We loved to experience the wildlife at this location-a sweet deer, many chipmunks, and so many different birds.

This property is absolutely stunning inside and out. The views were amazing and there’s so much to do near the property.Even though we couldn’t find the laundry detergent, we very much appreciated the extra toilet paper, trash bags and paper towels. There are so many windows in the property that everywhere you look are just stunning views. Our only complaints are you need more trash cans as a family of 7 with an infant, we filled the trash bags up quickly. Please put curtains on all windows, daytime was fine but we did not like having any curtains at night time, especially in the 2 of 3 bedrooms, made it very hard to sleep with it being so light in the rooms. But beyond that I highly recommend this place

Fantastic stay near Mesa Verde

Plenty of space for our family of six to spread out. Super close to Mesa Verde. Fantastic views during the day and night sky where you can see the Milky Way. We seriously talked about changing our plans to stay longer.

Great house and location, but...

Property is great location, wonderful views! We had fun every morning watching the birds and ground squirrels. 3 levels so we did a lot of stairs. Kids were in the basement, MIL on main floor and we were in the master. This was fine EXCEPT the master tub/shower was broken. Shower control was broken off and tub wasn't draining. We ended up showering in the basement. Beware if you have small kids staying downstairs. The rustic wood panelling is definitely rustic. Kids had 2 splinters in 4 days. Aside from the master bath issues, our biggest issue was lack of communication. Over the course of four days I left 3 voicemails and several emails, both directly to agent email, and via VRBO with no response. We had no checkout directions and nowhere to put our trash as the big outdoor bin was full when we arrived. I got a call from one of the property agents about an hour after we left. She was unaware of my previous messages and apologized. Apparently the staff member responsible for this property had just left the company. ??? Given the lack of communication I had concerns about our deposit but it was returned with no issue. Hopefully it was a one time deal, but the worry over the lack of communication and the hike up and down two flights of stairs to take a shower did make it difficult to enjoy ourselves fully. So, if you stay here, enjoy the views and the house (after you make sure the shower is fixed!) and hopefully the agent has fixed their staffing issue.
