Mangawhai Heads Cottage

Our self contained cottage is privately situated in a garden setting close to beaches and shops and cafe's.

The surf beach is only a 4 minute drive away or a 20 minute stroll or if you prefer the Estuary it is only a 5 minute walk away. Close to Wood street shops and cafes, the Golf course and MAZ Activity Centre. Visit Bennetts chocolate factory, local vineyards or pop in into the buzzing Saturday Morning markets at Mangawhai village.

Kitchenette includes a small fridge, microwave, electric frypan, and a portable electric cooktop. We also have a bbq on the back deck.

The bathroom has a shower, toilet and small hand basin.

The bedroom features bifold doors which open out on the the back deck. In the living area we have 2 divan beds which are set up as daybeds.

Sheets and bedding and towels are supplied.
*please bring your own beach towels.*

The cottage is totally separate and private from our main house (we are not always onsite and the cottage has its own driveway access.)

Ideal for couples or a small family.

The place is absolutely perfect! Amenities are great and it’s nice being able to cook for yourself. Host left some great info about the area as well, which was handy when looking for things to do. Have previously stayed before and was also amazing. Overall 10/10 and would stay again :)

We had the most wonderful stay! The house was absolutely beautiful – even better than we expected from the photos. Everything was spotless, tidy, and so welcoming. The view from the deck was breathtaking, and we found ourselves spending so much time just enjoying the scenery.What really stood out were the thoughtful little touches that made the place feel extra special – like the chocolates waiting for us in the fridge and the small bath cloths marked for makeup. It’s those little details that really make a stay memorable.We couldn’t have asked for a better spot for our girls’ weekend, and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Place was great, had all the basics needed and close to everything you need in Mangawhai. The lounge was lovely with the afternoon sun, and made the place very cosy. Shower could have had better pressure and hotter water but property uses tank water so its understandable, but I appreciated that there was shampoo etc to use so we didnt need to bring our own.

Awesome place for a long weekend

Awesome little spot. Cottage was sunny, warm, comfortable and quiet and had everything we needed to enjoy a long weekend exploring mangawhai. The hosts were quick to respond and we appreciated the local recommendations. Lots to do within 30mins drive plus mangawhai heads beach which is very close by is beautiful!

This is great value for money. Clean with a well appointed kitchen. Plenty of warm bedding and heating for a winter stay. Friendly welcome from Haedie who had unlocked and turned the heater on prior to our arrival
