Dusit Expedia review For the last two years since 2023 since I started visiting the Philippines, I utilized Dusit Thani in Makati as a place to stay while in Manila. Our stays have been ok until this year when I stayed three separate times in the last couple of months Apr- May 2025. The first time this year in Apr 3-11, 2025, I stayed for 10 days (booked through Expedia), and upon checking in I was asked to pay a deposit of 24,000 pesos (approx $440). Upon checkout I asked for a settlement receipt and I was told they don’t issue a receipt on deposits. The reason I asked for one is because the deposit was still a pending charge on my c/c and they said it will take at least two weeks to settle and reverse the charge on my credit card. The next time we stayed for 2 nights, I asked about the deposit from our last stay and they said it was still in process, maybe the reason why they said they’re waiving the deposit this time is because my last deposit is still hasn’t been settled. When we checked in and went up to the room, they immediately emptied the minibar in our room, and I found out it’s because I didn’t have a security deposit for that stay. I asked why they did that and they said that is because I didn’t have a deposit and it’s a standard protocol. I felt insulted a little bit because I felt they didn’t trust a repeat customer, that I would consume the items in the minibar without paying them. They insisted that they do it to everyone and it’s a standard procedu

Great location, excellent service but the property can use updating. The water in the shower came out brown for a while. Carpet is dirty and the room smelled old. However, this is located in the heart of Makati and the customer service is excellent!

They have a couple of little meow meows here

Nice hotel with very friendly staff. Check in at reception was with a dude called Christian who was a very nice and helpful chap. To be honest, they were all nice but I don't know all their names. Rooms were all decent sized and it's only about 20 mins away from the airport. The best thing is that they have a couple of resident meow meows who live in the garden at the back of the hotel.

I stayed for 2 weeks for work. I will go back to this hotel for a vacation with my family. It is a great hotel. The staff is amazing, the food is good, the pool is great. Makati is a great place to stay in Manila. There are 3 malls right at the door of the hotel.

We arrived from the NAIA on May 6 ,2025 at 5:55 am and we arrived Dusit Thani Manila at 7 am but I was charged 3,000.00 pesos for early check at the front desk by female named Miguel in I don’t understand because UA 189 was on time and we’re on the same day checking in but charged 3,000 pesos. At least Dusit Thani must review my tons of email that we’re arriving on the said date and emailing back and forth by Joellen Manuel and confirmed my booking was confirmed and her side but all of the sudden 3,000 pesos was changed. This is what I hate the 3000 extra charge because we arrived easy from San Francisco California USA

Dusit Thani is our go to hotel whenever we visit Manila. Its conveniently located next door to SM and is about 20 mins from the airport. I love the breakfast buffet and the friendly staff. We've gotten to know a few of them over the years we've been staying at Dusit.
