I’ve stayed at Cedar BGC several times over the past few months and generally found it to be a decent hotel. I travel to Manila regularly for business and have often stayed here with colleagues. Overall, the property itself is fine, but service — particularly during breakfast — needs improvement. Egg orders are frequently incorrect, service can be slow, and coffee orders are often forgotten. Unfortunately, my most recent stay has completely changed my view. During this stay, I accidentally knocked over a highball glass while unplugging a phone cable in my room. The glass shattered on the stone tabletop. I cleaned up the visible glass immediately and informed both concierge and the front desk, out of concern that housekeeping staff could be injured by any remaining shards. Rather than acknowledging the safety concern or thanking me for reporting it, the staff showed no concern and repeatedly focused on charging me 200 pesos for the broken glass. While the amount itself is trivial, the insistence on charging for a genuine accident felt unnecessarily petty and left a very poor impression — especially given that I am a repeat guest. It’s disappointing that such a small, inflexible charge overshadowed what could have been handled with basic courtesy. Unfortunately, this experience has ensured that I will not be staying here again, nor will I recommend this hotel to colleagues. It would have been perfect if only the buffet is not so chaotic and the lady manager is not yelling at the staff in front of the guests. All the guests around could feel it, making the experience very awkward. I can just imagine how the staff felt.

Good size room, excellent location, friendly and professional staff, very good stay. My only complaint: I arrived at 1am on a Saturday night, was told the rooftop bar closed at 2am. I went to the bar and he didn’t want to serve me bc it was too late. I told him the concierge said it closed at 2. He sighed and made me a drink. When I went outside to the roof deck, there were easily 100 people enjoying drinks.

I would stay again and see the improvements bc there’s limited choices in BGC Taguig ofcourse not to mention Shangrila & Grand Hyatt bec they always aim 5 stars excellence. Seda ofcourse has great potential but consistency and eye for details will deserve them excellence. I stayed 14th floor and asked moved to another room with a shower door bc the bathtub & shower in one is unsafe and inconvenient (no doors, even no curtains) after shower it’s wet and waters all over the whole bathroom ( management would know this simple detail especially an elder may fall and die anytime). The buffet foods looks very nice and looks bountiful, but if it really lack choices. Since it’s in Manila I would suggest tapa, tocino, adobo, pancit must be in daily breakfast menu ( both locals and foreigners can relate to meat and noodles ). High five for breads and pancakes plus Filipino breads choices. The juice area is inconvenient bc how do one help get his drink with his one hand holding a plate? Invest with modern push button coffee choice/machine since there is only one coffee bar machine and my Americano always warm not hot when it was served. Most foods are very salty and greasy. The front desk staffs looks very unhappy. The room service staff and restaurant and even the front guards are very nice friendly & professionals. The hallway carpets in the 8th and 14th hallway smells pig farm, sorry it’s true. Hopefully by April things can be better when I get back. I love Seda Manila Bay :) Thanks

I recently stayed at Seda BGC and had an excellent experience, easily deserving a 5-star rating. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming and attentive, ensuring a smooth check-in process. The hotel facilities were well-maintained, creating a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere throughout my stay. While I didn’t specify particular favourite aspects, the overall service, cleanliness, and attention to detail made the visit truly enjoyable. We like that they accommodate us for early check in since we just arrived from the airport. Clean. Comfortable bed. The only issue is that for the breakfast they never refill the Taho section. If you arrived late you will not enjoy everything they offer for breakfast. I saw flies touch the bread and I inform the staff.
