This owner cancelled my stay and I knew nothing about it until my day of arrival from out of state. A couple of emails that morning said that she had sent me a message, but when I clicked on the message link, nothing was there. (I had even received an email from VRBO two days before my arrival, confirming my booking!) I called VRBO, and that's how I found out my stay was cancelled. The owner had not processed my refund, either. It took an hour and a half on the phone with VRBO helping me, to get the refund going and book another place to stay. (Thank you, VRBO service staff!) It was scary and stressful for someone who doesn't know anyone in town. No owner should be allowed to do this to a guest and keep listing a property.
