Very noisy due to room beside us had an unattended dog that barked consistently for hours and randomly throughout the night. Property is dated. The air conditioning unit had a very loud vibration and rattled when on. The bathroom vent was extremely loud and was connected to the overhead light so you could not operate them independently. There was a lot of light that shown into the room around the door that opened into the hotel and made it difficult to sleep. The pros are the location and ease of parking.

My husband and I stayed in a King Efficiency. Our first night there was a Monday and everything in the area is either closed on Monday's or closes early. We decided to get food and cook in the room since there was a cooktop. Unfortunately, we ended up eating our steaks with our hands because there was no silverware. After bringing this to the property managers attention (who just acquired this property 4 months ago) she was well aware and admitted that she did not do her due diligence before taking on this property. She was not able to provide us with the needed utensils as it goes against a health code being that there is not a dishwasher in the unit. The floors in our room were dirty (prop mgr also admitted that floors have been an issue) and the dehumidifier had not been emptied prior to our arrival. The other desk attendants were openly speaking negative of the housekeepers and other frustrating things about their job, which I felt was very unprofessional. The hotel itself was fine if just looking for a safe place to lay your head. The bed was comfortable and the AC was cold. I do not feel that it lived up to its price.

For a Trademark Collection Wyndham hotel, Hotel Manteo was a huge disappointment. So much so that I chose to leave and find other accommodations. The property was run down, not clean and did not feel as though it was in a safe area. The hotel did offer a full refund (although I have yet to receive it.)

The hotel was so close to downtown Manteo. The town had excellent dining options and shopping. And the neighborhood around the hotel was great for taking a walk.

Nice, clean rooms, great beds and pillows! All the amenities I need - restaurant, pool, workout room. We liked being in Manteo and being walking distance from the downtown harbor area.

I enjoyed my stay with the exception ,we went to the pool one evening and were leaving and were met by some man I assume he was staff who kept telling us that we couldn't be in the pool because it wasn't certified for us to be in there at that time.Not sure what that was all about. We were getting out of the pool anyway. We had asked at check in for a pool closing time and weren't given a time. It was about 830pm.Oh and there weren't any pool towels.
