The houseboat was super cute!! Two bedrooms, (small areas of course, but the full size beds were comfortable!), plus a loft area with a twin mattress. Fridge, range and microwave... we didn't use the oven but it was nice to have available. Pool area was clean, with a saltwater pool. Laundry area if you need it. Boat rentals available. We rented a pontoon boat for a day. Overall it was an amazing stay for our family!

What a fabulous and unique experience. The little house boat was spacious for our family, clean, and had a great view out the patio. Had plenty of amenities like coffee, cups, plates utensils, beach towels, etc. There is a nice pool, free kayaks to paddle the mangroves and darling beach to watch the sunsets. (The beach isnt for swimming, but has lovely chairs and trees to enjoy the ocean views or even fish off the rocks). We cannot wait to come again!!

A Hidden Gem

What a unique place to stay! The Aqua Lodges were by far one of my favorites! Our "houseboat" was in a beautiful, quiet oasis with plenty of amenties and activities included. Since we were right on the water, we saw a variety of fish and beautiful birds from the deck at the back of the boat. And let me not forget the absolutely breathtaking sunsets at their small beach area. I highly recommend this hidden gem!

This property was in a great location and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The sunsets were amazing every night. The accommodations were perfect for my family and my dog. I will definitely recommend this place to my family and friends!

These were such a fun unique experience. We are a family of 4. We have a 14 year old who loved the loft area and our 10 year old got her own bed. There was enough room for all of us. It is clean and well kept and nice and cold after the hot humid days out all day long. Coffee on the back deck watching the sunrise in the morning was amazing. There are bikes and kayaks to use free on the site, a pool, and a cool look out spot to sit to watch the sunset at night. The kids loved all the fish they caught right off the dock. If you’re thinking about a chill, super fun getaway without going too far — staying on a boat in the Florida Keys is it. We did a boat staycation recently, and honestly, it was amazing from start to finish. Waking up on the water with nothing but ocean views around you? Total vibe. But here’s the thing — to really do the Keys right, you have to rent a boat. David was perfect teacher how to sail. It’s the best way to explore. We cruised around, hit some gorgeous sandbars, spotted dolphins, and found little islands you’d never see otherwise. And the sunsets? Unreal. Watching the sun dip below the water from the deck with a drink in hand — pure perfection. 10/10 recommend. If you’re going to the Keys, skip the hotel and stay on a boat. Just don’t forget to rent one too — that’s where the real adventure is!

Good stopover to Key West!

Clean extremely well cared for resort and accommodation, but not really the area we wanted. Expected to have bars restaurants close by but had to drive . Worked well for trips out to key West and local state parks. Pool was clean and empty. Enjoyed the free kayaks. Beds comfy and perfect if self catering.

Weekend getaway

Coconut Cay met all our needs. Enjoyed staying on the houseboat. Boat rental was convenient and flexible. Great location. The site had everything you needed. Pool, kayaks, bikes, laundry etc. the host communicated and was able to accommodate our later arrival. Houseboat was fully equipped with all our needs. Will definite return for another trip!!! Hosts were very pleasant and attentive.

Explore the Keys

The aqua lodges were located on a sweet little RV resort. Everything was emasculate and the view from the back deck was lovely. We enjoyed drinking our morning coffee on that deck. Our 8 year old loved spending time in the loft. Great central location for exploring the Keys.

The aqua lodge was amazing to sit outside looking at the water, watching the birds and fish. Very clean and well kept. Nice having free kayaks and bikes. Lovely heated pool! The only negatives were no recycling and no signs stating please do not feed the animals. Had to kayak around floating bread and cereal that kids were tossing in the water.

The Aqua Lodge was great! Very clean. They had bikes and kayaks for us to use. Extra bathrooms if you needed them. We had manatees swimming right next to the boat. Highly recommend. Better experience than a hotel room.
