Take a step back in time to the Old West. It doesn't get much more atmospheric than this, folks. A real piece of West Texas history, La Casa Vieja is a gorgeously restored home in Marathon, Texas that was originally an old farmhouse built in 1917. Now, more than 100 years later, it is a beautiful little hacienda, complete with a casita at the rear of the property that can accommodate additional guests. Located at the foot of Big Bend National Park and just a few blocks from the world-famous Gage Hotel, this property is a stunner. With custom woodwork throughout, this delicately-appointed 950-square-foot home sits on a corner lot and offers a beautiful enclosed private patio/courtyard for privacy. Surrounded by pretty, native desert vegetation, the custom features of this home are far too numerous to mention. Here are a list of just some of them:

My girlfriend and I stayed for three nights and enjoyed day trips to Big Bend, Terlingua, Alpine and Marfa as well as Stargazing at the Marathon RV park and dinner at the Gage Hotel restaurant in Marathon! The accommodations were nice and we would definitely stay again!
