Fantastic Cornwall

Hi, we had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful property while traveling from Australia, we met up with friends who stayed with us and their dog Jake. The Cottage was 1st class and the view was spectacular we can recommend it enough - Just watch out for the entrance to the car park at the back of the property. Many happy memories made.

Stunning location character property

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is an old cottage with all the quirks that brings and is well equipped with stunning views. It was a short walk to local amenities, a couple of pubs and the beach. With better weather we would have eaten in the balcony with its stunning view every night. Highly recommended.

Charming cottage with amazing sea views

The cottage provided us with everything we needed for a perfect stay. The views are amazing - waking up to an uninterrupted view of st. Michaels mount from our bedroom will be hard to match. Location is central and ideal for pubs and restaurants. Would love to visit again.

A magical Christmas and new year

We loved the house which was cosy, well furnished and well equipped. The lounge with woodburner was so welcoming with plenty of comfortable sofas and armchairs, just the place for Christmas morning with grandchildren opening presents. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas complete with a tree. The location of course was perfect, nestled amongst other cottages away from the main road, with a view of St Michael's Mount. Restaurants and pubs were in abundance and Penzance just a very short drive or coastal path walk for the energetic! We also took advantage of the regular bus service to save using the car all the time. We will be back!

perfect location

Trevara Cottage was the perfect base for our family summer holiday exploring the beautiful SW coast. The cottage itself is extremely spacious with multiple social spaces including living area, sunroom, games room and dining area. The view, however, is what makes Trevara stand out and what made our stay so enjoyable. With stunning, unspoilt views of the majestic St Michael’s Mount from both the balcony and garden, it really is the perfect location. The cottage is within very short walking distance of the town (less than 5 minutes) and the ferry ports to go over to the mount. It is also only a short drive away from large supermarkets! Something to note, if you are taking a car, is the narrow driveway that leads to the private parking. We only had a Corsa and Yaris and were having to guide each other out of the narrow lane. (There is affordable parking in town if you don’t fancy the squeeze though!). The rooms are beautiful and the kitchen is well-equipped so we were able to make meals with ease! A word of warning for the taller folk about the low door frames! One of our party came away with a few bumps. We would highly recommend Trevara to anyone who wants a homely base for a holiday in Marazion. Three generations from Malmesbury (Wiltshire), Launceston (Cornwall) & Oxford

Trevera May 2018

The cottage we stayed in was a wonderful Cornish cottage style property with plenty of room, our little westy really loved the garden and she was safe as it was enclosed and could not escape, the views were out of this world and it was so quiet, except for the odd helicopter, we really enjoyed our stay.

Picturesque!

We had a wonderful stay. It was so relaxing and comfortable with plenty of room for 4 adults and two children. Our two year old managed the stairs just fine and they both enjoyed the games room and running around outside on the patio while the adults enjoyed the balcony sun! Janet the housekeeper was very helpful and around to answer any questions. Marazion is quite a small town but the view of castle fabulous and just a short drive to st ives and many other wonderful sites. Lovely holiday home for a family of any size and ages.

A spacious property with lovely sea views

Trevara is an extremely comfortable property with plenty of spaces to enjoy whether it be in its large living room, adjoining sun room, the games room or the garden. The games room was popular with our grandson (4.5 years old) as were the two staircases which he negotiated without any problems. We appreciated the well provisioned kitchen with an array of saucepans, cooking pots and tableware. Having the housekeeper call in to welcome us was very nice and knowing that she was available nearby was helpful. Driving down the narrow lane to the allocated parking was a bit hairy but we managed it with one person getting out of the car and guiding the driver. Marazion is charming and St Michael's Mount was fascinating. There are so many places within easy reach to visit and we would recommend the Levant and Bottalack Mines on the tin coast, the Lizard Peninsular, St Ives, and the Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens. Don't miss Ben's Cornish Kitchen for lunch or dinner but book well in advance if coming in holiday season. We would love to return to Trevara and highly recommend it.

Cottage Lovely and warm on a cold autumn night. 2 minute walk to the beach. What more could you ask for. Just wish we could get the car down the driveway but not a major problem.

Great place to stay

I came with my partner and parents. The cottage was delightful and exactly as described. Well equipped and everything thought about. Only thing and it is not a fault of the cottage as such, but it is not suitable for people with mobility issues. Views were stunning and atmosphere truly memorable. House keeper also very helpful. Just three suggestions: Please provide a mop Induction stove - large plate does not work Please improve shower in small bathroom

Lovely views from main bedroom.

We enjoyed our stay in Trevara. The best thing for me was the view from our bedroom of the mount. We saw it bathed in sun, hidden amongst cloud and lit up at night. Not so relaxing was the drive in and out to the parking area! It really is very very narrow! We did see some poor man from another holiday cottage get himself into a terrible pickle having gone in at the wrong angle and after scraping his brand new car got himself wedged! It didn't bother my husband in the least but I held my breath every time we went in or out! Very friendly locals and a dog friendly beach just below the cottage. (Not directly accessilble, but only a short walk to get down to it.)

Relaxing and tasteful

One of the best rentals I have stayed in. The house is clean, comfortable and has good vibes. Furnishings are of a fairly high standard and plentiful, and above all else, they are tasteful. The white walls, interesting artwork, and abundant curtains and cushions make this comfortable like home. The outside space is useable and pretty too, with several tables, seats, and colourful flowers. We had a family reunion of adults there and because of the number of rooms, each person was able to have space for reading, watching TV, drawing, playing billiards, etc. The housekeeper is friendly and helpful. The view of The Mount is excellent and we saw dolphins in the bay. We ate at Ben's Cornish Kitchen and this was a wonderful experience and nice perk of being in Marazion.

We wanted the feel of England and a place that had character. We loved the three bedroom cottage and the views. We really enjoyed the town of Marazion as well. We ate at the Kingsarm every night but you can't get in without reservations.

Stunning

Trevara is a beautiful, characterful cottage. A lot bigger than expected and in a perfect setting with views over to St Michael's Mount. Only a few minutes walk into the small town with a few lovely shops and some great places to eat, we particularly enjoyed the food at the Godolphin. A very child and dog friendly place with a gorgeous beach, we enjoyed every minute of our stay over the new year. The cottage has everything you need, it's like home from home and the Xmas decorations were lovely. Thank you

Stunning View

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful property. Marazion is a charming town and the house is easy walking distance from everything. The house had plenty of space for our entire family and the recently updated master bathroom was gorgeous. The only tiny critique I had was the information book. It possibly could have contained more information about the house.. such as the spare key, how to work the oven, that there was WIFI (which we didn't expect, but noticed in the corner of the master bedroom). These are really very minor details, and certainly nothing that detracted from our enjoyment of the property. When you can sit on the balcony with a glass of wine and watch the sun set over St. Michael's Mount do small details really matter? :)

An enchanting dream!

This is truly a dream vacation home. The only problem with it is that you will eventually have to leave. The parking was a bit scary the first time but after that, getting in and out was very doable. My other concern had been whether my 6'5" husband would have trouble with the low beams... He did hit his head one time but that was when he was wearing a hat with a brim. Don't wear a brimmed hat in the house and the height of the ceilings isn't a problem. Staying at this home may've been our best vacation ever. Thank you Sally and Janet!
