The Bird House is located on Cow Creek, which feeds into Lake Travis. When Lake Travis is full, you can keep your boat or jetski here. If you enjoy birdwatching or hiking, the Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge is directly across the road and has over 25,000 acres to explore. Want to enjoy a nice glass of wine with lunch or dinner? We are located just a few minutes from Flat Creek Winery. Since we are not in a neighborhood and don't have any close neighbors, the stars are much brighter here at night. And you can make a lot more noise here without anyone complaining (fireworks are permitted as long as there is no burn ban).

We have 6.5 beautiful acres to explore with creeks on 3 sides. Cow Creek has water almost always. Only went dry when we had no rain and temp over 100f for over 60 consecutive days. We have a canoe and kayak you are welcome to borrow. We live on the property in a house next door to The Bird House.

The Bird House is our 2 bedroom guest house and it features a large deck and amazing views. Amenities include a shared pool (shared with us, no other rentals on property), outdoor kitchen & bar, gas grill, wood burning smoker, washer & dryer, large wood burning fire pit, and a playscape for children.
During your stay at this vacation home, you're just a quick walk from Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge. Enjoy features like an outdoor pool and laundry facilities. The vacation home offers free WiFi and a kitchen.

Chill experience

I was looking for a relaxing environment to take a break, and this did the trick. The host was pleasant and easy to communicate with. Appreciated that the wildlife refuge was right across the street. I saw lots of birds. The guest house was clean and comfortable. Good time overall.
