In summer, there are countless opportunities in the Salzburger Lungau to enjoy the beautiful nature, whether you want to be active or simply relax. From stroller-friendly walking paths to challenging mountain tours, Lungau offers many surprises with stunning views. The breathtaking mountain landscape, dotted with numerous mountain lakes, invites you to explore it through leisurely hikes or exhilarating bike rides. The crystal-clear turquoise water of the Longa against the backdrop of the mountains provides a unique natural experience.

As a winter sports enthusiast, you have plenty of choices here! The Mauterndorf ski area Grosseck-Speiereck is nearby. It is family-friendly, but with 50 kilometers of slopes, it also offers enough options and has yet to be discovered by mass tourism! A special family tip is Fanningberg. For more of a challenge, the Aineck Katschberg ski area is just a 15-minute drive away. Here, you will find 16 lifts and 70 kilometers of slopes of varying difficulty. The longest descent is the A1, which measures 5.6 kilometers in length and has an elevation difference of 1,100 meters. A highlight also includes the snow-sure ski area Obertauern (approximately a 20-minute drive).
