Had a lovely checkin with the lady on reception and our room was good. We went out for a meal and then unfortunately we were unable to get into our room. The lady again was lovely and apologetic and put us in a holding room while she tried to resolve it, unfortunately she couldn’t so we had to sleep in another room, without any of our belongings. This isn’t what you want after a very tiring long day, all you want is your bed, with your comforts. In the morning we were met with an apology by the manager but no offer of compensation for the inconvenience.

This is not a fancy hotel. It's simple, clean and comfortable. The check-in was friendly and they provided info on good places to eat.

We had to reschedulel our trip, so I reached out to the inn to ask if we could reschedule our booking (even though the change window had officially closed, according to my booking on Expedia). The inn responded that, since the reservation was made through Expedia, I needed to contact them instead. Expedia was very accomodating and then contacted the inn to request a rebooking on my behalf, but unfortunately, the inn declined. I believe the inn could have been more transparent from the start and simply told me they weren’t willing to accommodate any changes. It would have saved both me and the Expedia staff unnecessary effort. I understand they had the right to say no- and I would have respected that- but it would have been appreciated if they had just said so clearly, instead of trying to put it on someone else. As a result, I didn’t stay at this inn and chose a different option instead, and will do so in the future.

It's an older place but okay. I would have rated one star higher if the breakfast was better. It was hard boiled eggs every day and nothing healthy other than the hard boiled eggs, raisin bran and apples. I'm not into biscuits and gravy, white flower bagels, toast and waffles. No bananas, nuts, whole grain bread/muffins/toast.

Overall was impressed by this hotel as it was right next to HWY 140 that leads into Yosemite National Park. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the free breakfast was more than a welcome perk.

I stayed in this hotel years ago . The place is running down. The room was clean but didn't smell good. Bathtub and sink had stains. It's an old place that can use facelift.

Wonderful Place to Stay

Miner Inn in Mariposa was wonderful hotel in a small town. Everything is better than our expectation. We arrive after 9:30 pm. We called beforehand to let them know we will be late. They assured us there would be people at front desk to check us in. They did have people checked us in there, late in the evening. The room is nice and clean. The breakfast is hot and very surprise to us. We love this place, and would come back int he future.

Nestled in the mountains. Older hotel with newer carpet but bathroom in need of updating. Curtains wouldn’t close completely, falling off rod and didn’t feel clean. Basic complimentary breakfast (waffles/carbs, boiled eggs, sausage). Beds were clean but older / average comfort. Was okay but would search for something nicer next time.

The lady at the front desk was very friendly and check in was quick. Room was clean and fully stocked with extra towels, etc. The only thing is the walls are so thin and kids were up and scremaing down the hall at 6 am this morning. Would definitely stay here again. Its good for a pit stop if you are tired. Not a lot of places are open up late to eat so if youre a night owl youre drive would be about 40 min to the nearest fast food stop.

Nice clean older hotel just outside of downtown Mariposa. Convenient to Hwy 140 to Yosemite (about 45-55 minutes). Comfortable bed with adequate breakfast.
