Comfortable stay; excellent breakfast

The hotel is being renovated, but the workers were kind and it didn’t impact our stay. The breakfast was very good, and the staff are very friendly. The only downside is mostly out of the hotel’s control. I give them credit for posting very prominently about their quiet hours, but a very noisy group of people missed all of that and kept us up past midnight on our second night. Doors slamming, kids yelling and knocking, and very loud adults made sleep difficult. I wish all hotels invested in better sound barriers for the rooms, but that’s just not the norm. Overall, it’s a great place to stay, and the newly remodeled rooms are very nice.

The hotel had a lot of remodeling going on so there was a bit of a mess. There were water didn't work at first, but the staff provided us with drinking water. The hot tub and swimming pool was wonderful! The front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

The property is currently going through some major remodeling. Lots of construction. The pool wasn’t operational during our stay, which was a bummer. Something was going on with their water, they had lots of bottled water available. Everyone at the property was amazing and sooo friendly and helpful! Would recommend, maybe after all features are up and operational

This was an excellent lodging choice made by chance on a longer trip. There is nothing I can say negative about my two night stay. The staff was beyond friendly, the location is perfectly located above the lake and the room was spacious and clean. I have nothing but good things to say.

The hotel is in the middle of what was undoubtedly a much needed remodel.....despite consideration for the remodel, it doesn't appear this hotel met the standards of many Holiday Inn Express hotels... check-in staff was friendly and efficient

The hotel is currently under construction which we were aware of, and I am sure it will be very nice once complete. Our biggest issue (and really the only one) with the stay was that our room was not very clean. The curtains had stains on them and there was a pill pack on the floor next to our trash. The sheets/comforters also had stains and there was some mold buildup on the bathroom ceiling. For the price, we found it disappointing to stay in a dated and dirty room. It is off season and we stayed in Marquette the next two nights for 15.00 less a night for a much cleaner hotel that was literally right on the water. The pool is very large and the kids had lots of fun in it. We also really enjoyed the breakfast-lots of variety. Staff was friendly and beds comfortable.

In the middle of a construction zone

The staff were all very kind and welcoming. But the hotel was so disappointing. They had mentioned that renovations were currently happening to the hotel, but the conditions were awful. Flooring was ripped up, walking on plywood, drywall dust on the floors, sauna/hot tub broken.
