We had a wonderful time at this cabin. Clyde was incredibly responsive and helpful from booking to check-out. The cabin was spotless, with everything we needed, and the location was perfect. We particularly liked the hot tub, fire pit, and view! We would highly recommend this place and can't wait to come back
The cabin is beautiful and spacious. The back deck is wonderful for listening to the song birds and wild turkey. We also saw lots of deer. The sunsets are absolutely spectacular. The view is amazing. (The road in is a bit narrow.)
Owner was excellent and place was super, couldn’t ask for betterDidn’t like having to deal with unavailable neighborhood prop mgr to get delivery package
What an amazing property. Beautiful views. Peaceful, quiet, breathtaking property. Clyde the manager of property is extremely responsive and worked hard to make sure we enjoyed our week! I would highly recommend this location!
The property was perfect, everything you could need was included. The property was VERY clean (I have OCD issues). The decor for Christmas was beautiful. Best vacation ever!
The cabin was exceptionally clean; probably the tidiest VRBO home I have ever stayed in! Well stocked kitchen, plenty of warm blankets, very comfortable beds. The location was perfect; it took us 5 minutes to drive down the mountain. Beautiful view and spacious back deck to enjoy the sunset. The cabin had a very cozy feel and it is obvious that the owner takes priority to make guests feel comfortable. We enjoyed a movie in the evening from an extensive DVD library and my teen daughter enjoyed the book selections. I also appreciate that the front door was very near the kitchen and rooms for easy access to load/unload. Smoke and Timber restaurant was amazing! We had dinner at the Salt Face Mule Brewing Co one night but it was a 35 minute drive. Our mini vacation was very relaxing and we can't wait to return!
The house is beautiful and the views are stunning. The location is peaceful and breathtaking. The host is very nice and helpful. We loved every single thing about it and enjoyed our time there immensely. Easy trip to downtown Mars Hill and Asheville. You won't regret booking it!
Sparkling clean, beautiful property perfect with separate baths for each bedroom. Our stay during remnants of Hurricane/Storm Ira made travel to the cabin a bit more challenging, but overall an exception location at 4,492'
Love this house, it always feels like home coming back. This was our first August stay, so we had to deal with hotter days with no AC. But as soon as the sun went down, it was cool again, so great for sleeping. Ceiling fans plus a couple of portable fans kept us comfortable during the day. Beautiful sunsets and great days for just relaxing and reading. Must be the best stocked kitchen anywhere!!
Fantastic stay, phenomenal view. Follow the directions of the host and turn around at the drive way after, it has lip to do a turn around. The driveway is steep and the turn into the driveway would be a switchback.
Best to arrive during the day to get your bearings.
I can’t say how much we enjoyed our getaway, everything was perfect.
Our cabin was exactly what we saw in the pictures and more! It was super clean, nicely decorated, and very spacious! The view out of the back of the cabin was a million dollar view! We loved the private and safe location tucked back in the Laurel Wolf ski neighborhood. The kitchen was well equipped and the grill was ready for use. We definitely enjoyed the hot tub in the cool evenings as well!
This property was listed as a 4 bedroom but turned out to be a 3 bedroom home (there were also photos of four bedrooms in the listing, however once we arrived we realized that two of the photos were the same room with different bedding and art). Once we worked through this, we had a wonderful stay. The kitchen is well-stocked, the home was comfortable and clean, and the view was better than pictured. The hot tub is fabulous and the host was responsive and helpful.

Our weekend was great but we had a few issues with the cabin that kept it from getting five stars. The Bath towels smelled rancid, the coffee maker did not work well, there was a potential propane leak with fumes while we were there. Overall, the experience was good but the cabin could Use some attention.
We had a great stay at this spacious, beautiful cabin! Our 2 teenagers each had their own space complete with their own bathrooms. The entertainment space in the basement was great - we played lot of air hockey and board games, and enjoyed watching a movie one night. The hot tub was very relaxing and a great way to enjoy the spectacular view! There is extensive deck space to enjoy the mountain view, which we enjoyed immensely. We cooked on the grill one night, but also went into Mars Hill and Asheville for some meals. Be aware that the drive into the nearby towns takes at least 25 minutes from the house. This was not much of a problem for us, however. We travelled with our Brittany with ease - there were perfect places to walk and hike all around. The kitchen was a highlight for me - very well laid out and enough cookware to prepare a meal for a large family! Thank you for sharing your home with us, Clyde!
We had a great time here. The place was clean. The owner went out of his way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The views from this place are wonderful. My family and I stayed here during Thanksgiving week, and we all enjoyed ourselves. We would highly recommend this cabin to fellow travelers.
