In Expedia shows as Hotel but it’s a nice residence without hotel Services. Room in general was fine (bed was really comfortable and shower was super). There were some problem with Wc table not stable and not enough privacy since the toilet is separated to the bedroom only by one glass door. Every night it was a smell of fire (even if you have the window closed) maybe from a pizzeria or bakery next to residence. We didnt find any spa. Italian breakfast it’s to another hotel near by. Cleaning staff was really nice, receptionist Not always present but you can reach it via WhatsApp.

The best B&B that we have experienced. The room has an indoor sauna, rain showers, wine cooler, small kitchenette and ample of space. Host is very helpful on local food. Not far from the city center.

Excellent location right on the door step of all attractions. Very friendly and welcoming with very modern clean rooms. Rooms had everything we needed except would have liked glasses for water and drinks. A bin in the bedroom as well as the bathroom would be helpful as would a 2nd key card for the room. Breakfast at la lattera was great however the alternative on Tuesday was very limited with only croissants available. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay here and would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to our friends. The location was perfect for us, just a few minutes walk to the old town, and a short walk to a vibrant piazza with shops and restaurants. The staff were friendly and responsive and had great recommendations. Check in was smooth. Breakfast was provided at the restaurant located in the building and offered a good variety. The suite itself was modern, quiet and spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, with several thoughtful touches. The parking is a public parking lot about a block or so away, which was very reasonably priced and we had no issues with parking our car there.

Thanks to signora Filomena, the owner/manager of the residence, we had a great experience in Matera. Our room was totally updated and very lovely. The decor was super modern, with beautifully appointed shower and washroom. The bed was extremely comfortable and the whole residence spotless. We really appreciated the Nespresso coffee machine and the coffee pods. The location of the residence is also superb; just on the edge of the old city with easy walking access to the sites. Signora Filomena was very attentive and helped us with our requests, even arranging for us to get Covid tested before our flight. We had a wonderful time and hope to visit Matera again for a longer stay and plan on returning to the residence.

Don't book this - nightmare accommodation

Don't bother booking this because the owner will phone you after you have made your booking just a couple of hours before you check in and tell you that the hotel is overbooked. They will offer you alternative accommodation close by that's a room in an apartment. Awful breakfast, poor Wi-Fi and no secure parking. This should be struck off the preferred partner list of Hotels.com
