Located in Mauriac, Cantal, between the vast Puy Mary volcano and the winding Dordogne gorges surrounded by beech, chestnut, oak, and boxwood forests, we offer accommodation in a renovated former barn. The house is independent yet close to ours, in a secluded hamlet.
Whether you’re seeking relaxation in untouched nature among farm animals, or active discovery of this wild setting, local gastronomy, rural traditions, or medieval architecture, you’ll find unexpected richness and a true change of scenery.
Enjoy peaceful walks, alone or with our two donkeys, Pivoine and Tulipe, and their shepherd Suki. Fishing by the Dordogne and swimming at the many lakes’ beaches are also possible.
For more active pursuits, choose from challenging hikes—possibly over several days with pack donkeys and camping—river trekking, fishing in mountain streams, climbing at equipped sites, gardening in our vegetable patch depending on the season, and preparing and sharing our produce.
You can also enjoy many regional activities: visiting farms, cheese dairies, castles, picturesque villages, canyoning, rail biking, boat trips on the Dordogne, or the Gentiane Express train.
Cleaning is available for an extra charge. A daily electricity allowance is included; additional charges may apply if exceeded.
