Bulletpoint Review

Stayed over Christmas 2016. I've stayed at Sandals in Antigua and St Lucia a couple of times before so know what to expect Beach nice but windy and staff mop up seaweed daily. Very choppy water - was a few people getting swept over and a couple were injured. Don't put stuff down on beds before 7 - it will get removed Pool has lots of shady areas, beach better for wall 2 wall sun Pool gets noisy, overlap of music from other areas. Beach better for relaxation Food is hit and miss. Butch's ruined my steak and those at my table in Kimono's thought that the food was sub-par. Many restaurants have selective opening and are closed at least one day. Breakfast can and does open late regularly due to staff issues. Buffet for lunch is variable at best. Really needs an evening buffet too. Pub-type food was decent and a safe go-to place. For non drinkers, the value-for-money aspect versus the hotel standards is marginal. Probably better off going elsewhere. I'd rate this is 3*, 4* max. Staff are best asset. Barbados is a great winter destination and I'm glad we went but we'll be going west coast when we return for xmas 16. Recommended with reservations based on above.

Amazing Hotel Shame About The Food

The hotel and staff were amazing but the only thing that would prevent me from revisiting this hotel was the food. We ate at several of the restaurants and 9 times out of 10 the food was cold. Even the room service food was cold. It seems that the only food that was served hot was at the restaurants where you were required to make a reservation. For a all inclusive hotel this aspect was very disappointing. I have sent 2 testimonials and 2 online complaints to Sandals but they deny receiving them.

great holiday

first time with Sandals. A really good experience marred by a slightly sub standard hotel. Very rough seas precluded swimming and sailing most days. Really enjoed the golf course and sunset cruise/snorkelling with turtles. Good food and happy helpful staff.
