There are cockroaches in the rooms, They will charge you for the coffee packages in the rooms, they will even charge you if you loose the room key card, be aware and just try different options of hotels around the beautiful malecón

Been going here for 30 years but the property needs some deep cleaning, basic maintenance at a minimum if not a major renovation it is very tired now. Hot water would come and go. The staff are amazing but they can only do so much the owners need to spend some money on the building.

Hotel is old and has many issues. Food and drinks are mediocre and overpriced. The pool is nice but it is definitely not heated. Gus Gus (restaurant with live music) and the main road are quite loud at night if you go to bed early it may be an issue. The staff are wonderful and the location is nice.

Loved that it was ocean front and our room was right above the beach. The hotel is in a great location, walkable to many good restaurants and the staff was friendly. We did not like that there is no heat in the rooms, we hit a cold spell, many nights went down to about 11 degrees C. The hotel did provide extra blankets which did help.

Staff most friendly and helpful. Hotel is old but clean. Beds were good. I have stayed at Costa de Oro many times over many years. Lets say it has character. No heat in rooms. AC for warmer weather. Staff very responsive any time we needed attention.

Excellent property. I am from Calgary Canada and came in January. A bit cold in the evening. Hotels in Mazatlan don’t have heat, only A/C. So next time I’m coming in February when it’s a bit hotter. A great vacation. Mazatlan is so safe. I never feared to go out in the evening and I’m an old lady. Had a massage….great! A super time!

The staff is supper fiendly , the hotel is very nice , everything is really close to the hotel, the parking is really easy to get access and they have staff helping you to get across the street, the installation is very beautiful snd we have the best vacactions
